Dr. Anderson was only my delivery doctor for my daughter at the Queensway. I was not her patient through out my pregnancy.
She made a significant error during delivery which left me in pain for 4 months post partum. She seemed very panicked during delivery as things didn't go exactly as planned. If she is on call for my next delivery, I will be going to another hospital.

I haven't delivered yet, but am in my 3rd trimester and who knows if Dr. Anderson will actually be delivering my baby as it falls on whoever is on call. So far I've found her to be thorough and knowledgeable, but a bit dismissive of small concerns. It's not that she doesn't listen to you, she does, but usually brushes it off. And to be perfectly honest, I'm sure she's had lots of first time moms worrying over nothing so she tries to minimize things that really aren't a big deal. As far as punctuality, if you get the first appointment of the day (I've had no trouble so far as they book your next appointment when you show up), you're usually in and out on time. If there's nothing to be concerned about, she doesn't keep you for long. If you want a doctor who sits and chats with you, she is not the one, but if you want someone non-alarmist who keeps you informed, she is a good choice.

I found her to be very knowledgeable but very dismissive if you have any 'small' concerns!
There wasn't really a point to ever having an appointment time because they were always late, even 40 minutes at one appt. I mentioned "I was sure I was forgotten, I've been waiting for 40 minutes" her response was "oh that's ok"
I was less than impressed with the overall care I received!

I found Dr. Anderson very nice. She was friendly and understanding, but always professional and clear in her explanations. She told me honestly what she believed was the best for me, with reasons, and then left the decision in my hands. She was respectful of me as a patient and as a woman. I do not know how a doctor could do better than that. Thank you, Dr. Anderson.

On my first visit I was to be examined. She proceeded with a biopsy of my uterus without warning. I felt violated. No one should be in that big a hurry. I was pretty upset. I have to go back because I am worried about the result.
I have no idea if she is good, bad or otherwise. I want a lab result and I want to move on.

Very professional and experienced. I am blessed to have her as a OBGYN. She is fast and to the point. It is better to have the truth told by professional than sugarcoat it.

She is a fantastic OB, she delivered my daughter by C-Section, she was always warm and caring with me, but I can see how others would find her abrupt. If I wasn't moving out of Ottawa, I'd use her again. Try to get a hold of her staff if you don't have an appointment there!!! Like the Polk-a-roo!!!

Unfortunately Dr. Anderson was not the right match for me. She is rushed, and have had issues with her wanting to induce/talk possible induction for no medical reason. I have also had issues with the office not imputing my information correctly. If your looking for a natural approach to birth this is probably not a good fit.

Top notch doc. She moves fast but after 3 babies with her I'm 100% convinced it's because of her high aptitude and ability to spot that there was never any issues with my pregnancies. All 3 ended up as C-sections (2nd/3rd scheduled and performed by her) and it was clear that she was completely in charge in the OR and knew where everyone was and what they need to be doing. One of the nurses seemed to have a different plan one time and she quickly put her back in line. Very personable but knows how assert her authority as well which is very comforting. I feel that anyone would be in good hands with her as their OBGYN.

After many months of waiting to see her for my ovarian cyst she recommended that I pay a CA135 blood test for cancer (I have to pay $35)and also an ultrasound. Without delving into the fact that I have a history of fibroids and Endometriosis which impacts the result of the blood test, her immediate diagnosis was ovarian cancer. After many worried months I decided to go for an ultrasound to monitor my ovarian cyst which fortunately shrunk due to menopause. However Anderson still insists on my ovary removal operation which I vehemently refuse though she says my ovaries are "dead"at menopause I do not subscribe to her theory. She is callous doctor who does not have much emphathy for the mental sufferings of an individual,is very brief during the appointment and discharges me like an object with no feelings when she gives a prognosis. I am looking for another Gynaecologist.
