Dr Anderson is the best doctor I ever met in Ottawa. I Had an amazing experience with her for my first pregnancy. I had an accidental fall when I was in my 9th month and fractured my knee. Luckily baby was all fine. Dr Anderson gave me moral support and ensured everything went well when we didn't had any support as our families were in other country. She took right decisions throughout my hospital stay and motivated me that we can get through this difficult time. She has such a great bed side manner and she infact came to hospital during her time off to ensure my delivery go s as per plan. We are blessed with a cute little boy and we are thankful to Dr Anderson. I highly recommend Dr Anderson.

My family doctor, referred me to a specialist for a PAP exam. She sent me to Dr Anderson Lucyna who, hurt me a lot during this exam. I came to her because this exam is for me VERY painful. At my age, I do not take any medicine, and I am rather tough and never complain with my health, but this exam has always been challenging me and I mentioned it during her pre-exam inquiry.
Dr Anderson who is supposed to be a "specialist" did not take care of my special needs. When I asked her if the spectrum, she will use will be the Smallest one, she replied "Yes". As I was already in position for the exam, legs spread, I could not see it but I trust her. As soon as she started to introduce it in my vagina, that hurt a lot. I immediately told her, but she continued to push it deeper without giving me any relief to gradually get used of the oversized tool she was convincing me to accept despite the sharp pains I felt. Obviously, it did not fit with the size of my vagina. Then, I started to cry out of pain with tears, but she never stopped. It was unbearable. She only was focused on her task no matter what. At a certain point, she eventually got what she wanted, (I guess) because she ended torturing me.
I had never ever experienced such a roughness before. Now, I realize her pre-exam questions helped her to make up a strategy for her PAP exam be fast regardless my physiognomy.
In addition, when I came back to the dressing-room to clean myself, I saw that she made me bleed. I had blood on the Kleenex I was using. Moreover, until late on the evening, I could feel like an external injury when I had been urinating. What a nightmare…!

I had an excellent experience with Dr Anderson and her staff. After an awful experience with Dr Lavel (Appletree clinic) I was referred to Anderson. In 20 min she told me what was going on with my body and explained my treatment. I had IUD insertion with her and it was fine.

All I heard during my visit is “good, good, everything is good”. She does not give you any structural opinions. ALWAYS ignore my calls. ALWAYS spend more time in the waiting room.

Amazing health care services

Dr Lucina Anderson took great care of me and my baby trought almost all my pregnancy, delivery, recovery and contraceptive guidance. Her staff and herself had always the most professional approach. Plus, having the oportunity of giving birth at the Queensway Carleton Hospital where Dr Anderson works, was a great experience. All the personal was kind, expert and fast reacting during difficult moments. Dr Anderson took the care for being with me the majority of the time, was great having a familiar face during this period of concern.
If I have another baby in the future, she will be my first option again.

This has got to be the absolute worst OBGYN. She has ignored my calls for over a month regarding my pregnancy concerns, the queensway Carleton needs me to go in for a RHOGRAM shot but I’ve had to cancel my appt due to Anderson ignoring my calls cause I need her to send me to bloodwork before the queensway gives me that shot. I have not met her , I’ve needed my pregnancy medication refilled for months and she has ignored my calls and not called back. I’ve left multiple message. I tried to request 2nd trimester screening and was ignored as well , I’m now in my 3rd trimester without her ever checking up on me. If there is anything wrong with my baby I will 100% blame her for refusing to do her job as an OBGYN. Covid has been stressful but the lack of having a doctor to care for you and your babies needs is ridiculous. DO NOT RECOMMEND . Even my family doctor who referred me to her can’t get in contact with her. I’m almost 7 months pregnant and having to request a new OBGYN who will actually do her job.

I returned to Dr. Anderson for my third delivery and I am so disappointed that her secretary no longer works there. Julie was like family to me, she was always available to answer any questions that I had and went out of her way to call me if there was any issues with my test results. I realize that Dr. Anderson is very busy and not always available but if I had any concerns the secretary would always help me. I do not like the set up at her new office and although the new secretary is nice she cannot replace the quality of care that her other secretary could provide. This makes all the difference!
Dr. Anderson is often rushed and does not always have extra time to spend with me.

I had a traumatic birth experience under dr Anderson! I don’t recommend Her at all as a doctor. She was careless with me, rude and led to unnecessary tears and excruciating pain during my delivery due to the fact that she was absent and kept going in and out of the room during my delivery. I will never forget this experience.

As a first time Mom I wish she would have brought information up more vs me having to pull information out (just general stuff, what to expect etc) or me having to bring up symptoms. Her visits were always quick,(I would often wait longer in the waiting room than the exam room) almost rushed or maybe just seemed that way due to how quickly she talks. It makes it a bit difficult to squeeze questions or concerns in But granted I did have a “good” pregnancy with no concerns. There was one visit near the end when the lady taking my blood pressure got a high reading (not crazy alarming but higher than normal), it was January and I had just briskly walked from the waiting room with my big winter coat and just had to wiggle out of my boots so I wish she gave me a minute to relax or do a second reading as I feel it was just a misread. Dr.Anderson ended up taking precautions and sending me for extra testing which I wasn’t mad about But all came back good.
Overall satisfied with her. In the end she wasn’t on call to deliver my baby So can’t comment on that aspect.
The lady at the front desk was always very friendly.
