I was very fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Andrew Lam after a hole developed on my retina. He quickly diagnosed the serious problem and clearly explained what had to be done. The operation went very smoothly and he guided me through my recovery which went very well. I was surprised that I had no pain through the whole process and my eye healed completely.

Dr. Lam performed surgery on my right eye, after a complete loss of vision. He did so in a very professional manner. He was kind, thorough, and understanding about my fears of being blind in that eye. I would recommend him to anyone that is having vision problems. It ended up being a Retinal Arterial Macro Aneurysm . I am very happy to say that my eyesight is back to normal. Thank you Dr. Lam,

I was referred to Dr. Lam by the Berkshire Eye Center when I presented after hours with a Retinal Detachment. I was immediately seen in his office on a Sunday night and scheduled for surgery the following day at Bay State Medical Center. The surgery was performed without incident and my recovery and outcome was textbook excellent. Dr. Lam was superb in all aspects of this event, and I highly recommend his skills along with his staff for their attention to detail. Dr. Lam is top surgeon in the field of ophthalmology!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Lam; he's amazing. In my late 40's I am very young to be experiencing such serious eye issues as 2 partially detached retinas in 8 months! Without my full sight I cannot continue my livelihood as a practicing attorney. Dr. Lam was there for me; I felt so comfortable with him. He is confident, knowledgeable, got right to the problem and had the immediate solution I needed. AND, that evening he scheduled emergency surgery for me! He could have gone home, but instead after being in surgery all morning and then seeing patients all afternoon he made a special trip back to the hospital. Having to be awake for the surgery was difficult, but Dr. Lam talked me through every step, praising my efforts and letting me know how things went. I am truly forever grateful to Dr. Lam, will sing his praises to anyone who will listen, and HIGHLY recommend him to every patient with a retinal issue. Thank You Dr. Lam for allowing me the gift of continued sight!

Dr. Lam performed surgery on my 84 year old father. He was confident by putting this bubble in the back of his eye would close the gap and he would see again so much better. We were reluctant , but it worked just as he claimed it would. We are so happy and wouldn't go to anyone else. Thank you Dr. Lam!!!

I went to see Dr Lam with a detached retina 80% tear could not see! Dr Lam examine me and went over what had to done and the probably outcome. Had the surgery-outpatient everything went smoothly. After 3 months I can see! If you want a skilled surgeon you should see Dr Lam

My experience with Dr. Lam was a short one which involved laser treatment of a retinal tear. He impressed me with his ability to see many patients in a short period of time but with such focus and to-the-point information that he gave me a great deal of comfort that he would take care of my problem and everything would be alright. The laser treatment itself could have been uncomfortable with a laser pointed directly into the eye, but Dr. Lam's confidence and agility were amazing and the procedure was completed quickly and painlessly. My follow -up appointment with him was no less impressive as I arrived with a small barrage of questions related to my first ever eye problem. He answered so concisely and positively that he gave me a sense of relief and calm that helped ease all of my trepidations about what I had gone through. I want to thank him and his wonderful, friendly and efficient staff for making my first eye trouble issue a positive one.

There are not enough superlatives in the english language to describe my opinion of Dr. Andrew Lam. He is kind, considerate, professional, more than competent and just a wonderful physician. Everyone in the office is follows his example. All receptionists are very helpful as are the medical assistants. I am so grateful to Dr. Lam for the wonderful care he has given me. Virginia
