In 2020 I went in for a routine cataract surgery with a different Dr in York and it became anything but routine. I suffered a stroke in the middle of the surgery losing my vision in my right eye. I ended up at Wilmer Institute for the blind. After four years the vision in my left eye became so poor I had to have the cataract removed in that eye. I was terrified to move forward with the surgery, after seeing other Eye Doctors . My Retina specialist recommended DR. Bildner. After meeting him, he was so detail oriented that he put me at ease. He reached out to all the doctors I have seen over the years and made up a game plan for my surgery. On March 6th he operated and it was very successful. Not only did he remove the cataract he put in a lens to correct a stigmatism I was also dealing with. Today I have vision in that eye and I no longer wear glasses except for reading. Wilmer was telling me I had a 20% chance to stroke in that eye also. I was very scared but I put my eye site in his hands and I am glad I did! I call him my super hero.

Performed glaucoma surgery on my mom. Does a good job surgically. Going back for cataract surgery. Would not expect cataract surgery to correct astigmatism Glasses will probably always be needed but different prescription.
