“dr tiesenga is hands-down one of the best medical doctors i have seen in my 45 years of life! his demeanor and bed-side manner is calm, positive, thorough, attentive, flexible, and personal. i saw him for my weight issues and he made me made me feel comfortable and relaxed and asked me questions about my recreational life (which no doctor has ever done before!). prior to my surgery( the gastric sleeve) we discussed vitamin supplements, he made recommendations as to what i need. i find that doctors usually are distracted or rushed when visiting their patients, but not with dr.tiesenga. i had the sense that this doctor REALLY cared about my whole being and not just the fact that i was there for weight-loss surgery.additionally i could tell that dr.tiesenga has a well-rounded medical background and approaches his care with a western and eastern perspective, not the typical medical “fix it and get rid of it” approach. it is for this reason and the fact that entire staff was very friendly and welcoming, that i give him 5 stars! i would definitely recommend this practice to anyone that values their health and wants a doctor that has knowledge to help empower people with there weight issues!

My experience over the last year with this surgeon and staff has been nothing short of awesome. Everyone is friendly. They are thorough and provide excellent care. They take time to answer all your questions. I am 3 weeks post op and my incisions look great. I highly recommend Dr. Tiesenga and his staff.

From my pre-consult in Dr. T's office to the post procedure care him and his professional team provided, I was beyond pleased. I felt as if Dr. T set aside as much time as needed to explain how the procedure was going to unfold and what life would be like after the successful bariatric procedure. His office team/staff did an excellent job of making sure everything ran smoothly and efficiently. Overall i am very pleased with everything and will be referring Dr. T to any friends or family. I had hernia surgery by Dr Tiesenga. The operation was robotic. I had almost no pain and he made me feel like my care was the most important thing to him. Awesome doc!

I changed doctors, one because every time I have a doctors appointment, I'm sitting well over my appointment time, the nurses there are not friendly@all, also Dr.Tiesenga I had a very serious condition, he did my surgery so he should've fixed the problem instead, I had to be sent off to another doctor he knew, he didn't take the time to help me understand how serious this was, and yes I was very sick behind my surgery, I had to go out on my own to find out what was going on with me, I go to another doctor, as well as another hospital, for me and a lot more of his patients,Dr.Tiesenga needs to do a lot better, with his patients, and his staff needs to help more, and smile and not look so mean, like really, because a lot more will be leaving, I hope his office gets better, Dr.Tiesenga needs to involve him self with his patients and there surgeries, not run in and out of the clinic, its like everything he does it's in a hurry, like seeing his patients,I can go on and on!!!!!

Dr. Tiesenga is a wonderful physician. So many other doctors don't care and have horrible bedside manners and little to no interest in what the patient has to say. Dr. Tiesenga listens and genuinely cares for his patients. Beyond that, he is interested in total patient wellness as opposed to merely just surgery and treating symptoms. Aside from his excellent practice skills, Dr. Tiesenga is incredibly knowledgeable about many other areas of medicine as well and he is always ready to help. His staff and nurse practioner's are awesome as well. I def recommend him to everyone.
