I have known Dr Monji since she started practicing in Eugene/Springfield. While I had completed childbearing by that time, I have seen her for gynecological care. Because I also work with her in the hospital, I can tell you she is thorough, compassionate, up to date, one of the most gifted surgeons I have worked with, and definitely the person you want in an emergency! When I was new to this area, I knew the people I wanted to hear recommendations from in regards to which physician to see, were the nurses who work with them in the hospital. I can recommend Dr Monji without hesitation!

Our experience with Dr. Zena Monji was incredible. She was our OB/GYN for all three of our children. Our first son was stillborn at full term due to a massive fetal -maternal hemorrhage. As you can imagine, we were devastated, heartbroken, lost and everything in between. The next year was long and difficult, trying to find answers as well as move forward. Dr. Monji was with us every step of the way. She cried with us and held our hands when needed. She attended our son's funeral and gave us her cell phone number. She encouraged us to call her day or night for any reason. Her compassion was unmatched and was what we needed at that time. She again comforted us when we had a miscarriage 6 months later. When we were finally pregnant with our daughter, she helped ease our anxiety and took the extra time with us. She met us where we were in our lives and helped guide us through our emotional roller coaster. There were times when she even sat and held my husband's hand. When it was time to deliver our daughter, we had a scheduled C-section. Due to our son's death, we had an early delivery which meant we needed to deliver at a different hospital than where Dr. Monji was contracted. That didn't stop her from fighting for us and our baby. She also cleared her personal and clinic schedule that day and attended our daughter's birth. She held my hand, with an arm draped over my shoulders when I received my spinal and held both our hands during my c-section. She cried and laughed with us that day. I have never seen a medical doctor go the lengths she has gone for us. When we became pregnant with our second son, our 3rd full term pregnancy, she closely monitored us and again eased our anxieties. She made appropriate referrals and again encouraged us and guided us along the way. When were about 18 weeks along, I had a subchorionic hemorrhage and Dr. Monji opened her clinic early that day and got us right in for monitoring and testing. She immediately was able to determine the problem and gave us a detailed explanation for what was happening. Our 3rd delivery was perfect because of her. She is amazing and was incredibly compassionate. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is wanting an OB/GYN who is knowledgeable and is able to not only give direct answers, but will give the information with the compassion that is needed. She is truly amazing.

I am grateful to have had Dr. Zena Monji as my Ob/Gyn since 1998. I worked in her office for several years, so have also had the advantage of being able to view her through different lenses. Although she is highly sought after, and in demand as a physician, she always makes time to make me feel heard and understood. Naturally, the subject matter can sometimes be difficult to approach, but she always manages to make me feel at ease, and educated about whatever health matter being addressed. Dr Monji seems to be gifted with the ability to elevate and advocate for her patients, leaving them feeling educated about procedures and health issues. Her surgical skills are so amazing, I knew I was in such good hands, that there was no apprehension about any of the procedures I’ve had. It was with awe that I witnessed the birth of my grandson and her amazing skill in that arena, as well. I cannot possibly recommend Dr. Monji enough, and make certain to recommend her to family and friends, and anyone I care about.

I have known Dr Monji professionally and personally for 18 years. No one could ask for a better physician. This woman is an incredibly professional, up to date, fantastic surgeon and clinician. Yes, she can come across as somewhat brusque or intense but she cares just as intensely. Quite simply, she is truly the best you could get.

I went to the OMG walk in Clinic last night and they referred me to the Women's Clinic on an emergent basis. The nurse or MA that took me to my exam room was very friendly and attentive. However when the doctor came in she was extremely dismissive and rude. When she did my pelvic exam it was extremely painful, and she didn't even acknowledge that she was causing me pain. I had to ask for a Kleenex to wipe my eyes from crying so hard from the pain. She never made eye contact with me through the whole exam and basically made me feel like I was inconveniencing her by being there. I will never see her again, and will tell all of my friends to avoid her at all costs. With this bedside manner, she should avoid direct patient contact.

The office she works in is amazing. She, on the other hand, is horrid. I saw her instead of my own OB due to my primary being at a birth and Monji was incredibly discouraging of a natural birth, told me word for word that I would likely end up with a Cesarean because I was fat and laughed at me when I answered her about not wanting pain medication. She has the highest C-section rate of any doctor in the are and is known to all medical staff as the doctor with a knack for knives. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Unless you are planning on having a C-section for medical reasons, I'm sure with all her practice she probably does them well.
