Dr Svagr did a bad job on my back fusion which had to be completely redone by competent surgeons. Even then, they could only do so much to correct that initial surgery. If you need back surgery, do yourself a big favor, find a competent surgeon, not
this guy.

Dr Svagr helped me through a most painful time of my life. He helped me to understand what was going on in my spine and did everything possible to relieve my pain. He helped me fight my insurance company to get the proper procedure. I have never been treated with such respect. I would highly recommend Dr. Svagr to anyone.

I suffered from a compressed disk and extensive sciatic pain for nearly two months. Because of Dr. Svagr and his awesome nurses and office staff, I have been relieved of that pain and am on my way back to good health and a normal life.

Not only did Dr. Svagr mitigate the pain, but he, along with Christie, Janean and Lisa, showed honest concern and care for my health and well-being during every conversation and visit.

I received the absolute top-notch medical service, care and treatment from this amazing doctor and his incredible staff!

My family and I are extremely grateful for all they have done to stop my back and sciatic pain.

I first met Dr. Svagr in June of 2015. He was referred to me by another orthopedic to look at my back to see what more could be done. I had a degeneration/disintegration of my L5-S1. He was very kind, considerate and gave me all the facts of my condition as well as the options. From the moment we met, I was very impressed with him and his staff. He did not push medical treatments on me, but gave me all the facts of what was happening, what my options were and what the outcomes of each could possibly be as well as possible complications.. Given several conversations with him, I decided to go through with surgery and has a replacement of the L5 disc via ALIF (through the front of the body). I was very impressed with Dr. Svagr's bedside manner, his concern over me understanding all of the procedure and making sure that I was comfortable with what was going to take place as well as understanding the risks, recovery, and hopeful outcomes or shortfalls. My surgery took place on August 17, 2015. I was "down" minus bathroom privileges for 2 weeks and slowly have begun to move more, under strict directions of motions to avoid. I do not have the sciatic pain and numbness that I had prior to the surgery. My nerves are still trying to rebuild and restore, but overall the surgery was 100% successful. Now I have to be a good girl and do what has been asked so that the healing will be successful too. There have been many people who have been watching my recovery and success as they are experiencing many of the same symptoms I have. I am grateful that I found Dr. Svagr and his staff of amazing individuals. I have never felt so cared for or made to feel important by a Dr. and their staff before. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Svagr to anyone. He is competent, caring, very knowledgeable and up to date on procedures and techniques, and he truly wants his patients to feel better and know that he cares. He genuinely loves what he does and that shows in the way he approaches his patients. He is certainly one of my heroes for the help that he has given me and I will be a return patient for any other orthopedics needs for myself and my family.

After Dr Svagar operated on my back I have been pain free for over ten years. Recently I had a bad fall which has injured my back again. I am turning to him again for help. I appreciate his knowledge and advice. I'm going to need surgery again and trust him to do his best to help me recover as best I can at my age.

I have had 4 disc surgeries in my neck and Dr Svagr was absolutely the best. My pain is better, my movement is better, and I feel better. I was back to doing what I do quicker. First 3, not so good! He know his business and I think he's a funny character. Thanks Doc!--Nantahala!
