I have been a patient of Dr Lako for about 12 years and when I tell you he is the BEST!! I recommend him to anyone that says they need a GOOD podiatrist. His nurse, Mrs Carolyn is a jewel. When it is all said, you will not be disappointed.

Dr. Steven Lako is a fabulous doctor that I would recommend to anyone. He is so compassionate and patient. He listens to your concerns and is very informative. HE IS THE BEST!!! Thanks Dr. Lako and staff for such a pleasant visit.

What a PRICK! He has NO bedside manner, and his nurse treated my feet like chop liver. I asked her to be gentle, and not poke my sensitive toes with the wooden q-tip. She said she was being gentile, and she was not poking. I said "I know what poking is, and you are poking" , "Can't you use a cotton ball, or something". NO. "You are lucky you don't live on tips". I am in extreme pain, and Dr L will not prescribe any pain meds. I am sure he knows how much pain I am in. He started telling me how to treat my feet, just as the nurse started poking my feet. When I uttered an ouch, He said "I can't talk to him while he's like this", he left the room, and he never came back. I got out to my car, and called to see if I was supposed to keep taking the antibiotics that the er had prescribed, which I feel he should have told me before walking out on me. I had to walk back into the office (99 steps from the first parking space to the office window) and still had to wait an hour to get an answer. I called back in a day later to see if there was any way to deal with the pain, and they reluctantly wrote a prescription for Tramadol, which I listed on my chart that I was allergic to. They would not prescribe any other meds, and didn't suggest any other options. I am sure the guy is smart, but he and his nurse are both very abrasive, and not empathetic at all. I told the office receptionist to return my overcharged $50, cancel my next appointment, and that I would be leaving a review, if they couldn't help me. So, good luck with this prick. You're going to need it.

I had a great experience with Dr Lako and his staff. Dr Lako did surgery on my left foot and now after two years of not being able to wear a closed toe shoe, I can do so with ease. The staff was friendly and attentive. Dr Lako had relieved me of so much pain. I can’t thank him enough

Dr. Lako saved my life by being honest! He could have played around and continue treating me with medicine (shot), but that's not who he is. Dr. Lako examine the whole body. my weight was 294 pounds. He saw that this was my major issue so he explain that to me. At first, I didn't want to hear that I wanted my shot, but after I came in 2 more time with the same problems. He ask if I wanted to continue living my life like this or get help. He instructed me to contact my primary physician and they would come up with a plan. Today I'm 75lbs lighter with no foot pain. UNDERSTAND THIS DOCTOR IS ABOUT YOU LIVING A GOOD LIFE! SOME PEOPLE CAN NOT ACCEPT THE TRUTH, THAT GOD I DID.....

Dr. Lako is an excellent doctor, who cares about his patients overall health. He is very direct, which I like, and if you listen to him, you will see that he is very knowledgeable in his field. I have had two surgeries over the past few years and got along great because I followed his directions. He has a great personality which make my visits enjoyable. I highly recommend him to any one that needs a great podiatrist!

This must not be the Steve Lacko on Vineville that I went too. Not at all friendly. Did not touch my feet. Did not tell me anything to do for the pain in my feet and ankle. Said unfortunately, these were because of my weight. My ankles and feet are better because another doctor treated me and prescribed innersoles for my shoes. I love Dr. Union. Must be dr. Lacko writing in those positive comments.

Dr. Lako did my bunion surgery, and I can't say enough good things about him. Caring, knowledgeable, skilled and a good listener. Great at explaining things, too. I will tell everyone I know to use Dr. Lako for any foot procedures!
