After moving to Tennessee, I picked Dr Harmon's office for my eye exam from a list of doctors that accepted my insurance. I was a little uncomfortable at the start because of the location and condition of his office. Some tests were made of my vision on a few machines. The exam by Dr. Harmon was very quick and not very thorough. I was helped in the optician's office with choosing frames and noticed that some of the frames for sale were warped and bent out of shape as if they were seconds. When I was called to come in to pick up my new lenses and frame, I was stunned when the door to the office opened and an associate handed me a bag with my glasses in it while I was standing outside on the sidewalk! I asked her what she was doing and was told the doctor was trying to keep patients that come inside to a minimum because of the Covid viirus. I said I needed the frames fitted on me and want to confirm that the prescription was correct and was let in. The prescription seemed too strong, so I said I would come back after walking around outside for a couple of hours if I was very uncomfortable. Back in my car I discovered the frame was damaged which probably occurred at the lab. I went right back to the optometrist and made another appointment to be examined again. Another set of lenses was made in another frame I picked out. The new lenses were too strong again and the frame warped. An associate tried to straighten the frame and told my they looked straight on my face, but there was no mirror for me to see this in the fitting room, which was very odd. I also felt very rushed by each person who attended to me through all these procedures so I forgot to ask any pertinent questions before I left. Again, in my car with my mask off, I saw the second pair of frames were warped after being "adjusted" in the doctor's office. I drove my car to go shopping and then home wearing the glasses, but after starting to make dinner, trying to see clearly was very upsetting and I discovered that my old glasses gave me better vision even though they are a bit too strong. I finally glanced at the card given to me with my new prescription written down an was completely confused to see that the doctor had changed my vision prescription to be exactly the same in each eye when I knew they are not the same! This weirdness was never discussed with me in the office and explains why I cannot see straight through the lenses.

I will never be back to his office, dirty and his staff now are ridiculous. I don't think they know what they are doing.

Very small and crowded waiting room. Waited an hour before being seen. However, Dr.Harmon is the best eye doctor I have been to. He asked all the write questions and effectively fixed my problem in a reasonably small amount of time.
