Very caring and knowledgeable doctor. I have seen Dr. Schott for the past 3 years for a variety of issues and he is always helpful and has excellent referrals. The only issue I have with the system is the group’s desire to cross referonly within their network.

I agree with the comments submitted Aug. 29, 2014. Dr. Schott is excellent. The patient who criticized is way off-base.

To the patient that said Dr. Schott is greedy because he just doesn't refill your prescriptions without seeing you more regularly-- what planet are you from? That is the sign of a great doctor that cares about you and doesn't treat you like Anna Nicole Smith where the patient dictates their meds. I just read a report today that over 22,000 people per year in US die because of prescription med abuse/usage/lack of monitoring. Dr. Schott is busy enough. I think he was so popular he stopped accepting patients at one time. This guy is seriously a rock star doctor that is so humble, patient and knowledgeable. I am a really busy guy traveling all the time and he will take my calls, secure emails, etc. all without charge so he is NOT greedy in that way. Quite the opposite. He is with a large health system practice now so I doubt he even gets compensated based upon those types of metrics. You should be so lucky to have someone that is not a pill pusher like so many others out there. Stop looking at it from an unseemly, conspiracy-driven perspective. If it were up to me you'd be kicked out of the practice so others more worthy could join. But I think someone like you really needs a doctor like Dr. Schott.

Truly a fantastic doctor and person! Dr. Schott has been our doctor for years (after cycling through many) and he is the best doctor we have ever had. He is patient, extremely intelligent and has a kind and caring bed side manner. My husband and I have been using him for years and he has always been thorough and accurate but we are in our upper 40's and relatively healthy. However, my mom (who is 87) recently moved in with us and started going to him. Seeing his bedside manner with her is amazing. It would be very easy for him to push extra tests and medications for her but he definitely does NOT. He outlines the options very objectively and makes her feel comfortable. I think her blood pressure drops 10 points when he walks in the room! This is amazing since she has always been very distrustful of doctors and their motives. He definitely does not make her (or us) come in for unnecessary appointments. Overall, he is a wonderful Dr. focused on what is best for his patients!

I don't feel like I know Dr. Schott anymore. He used to grant more refills of my prescriptions with longer intervals between appointments with him. Somewhere along the way, he unfortunately woke up, became greedy, and realized there is nothing in it for him financially just to refill a prescription. This is the point where I became disillusioned. Greed does not play with me and I hope Dr. Schott will lose the greed so I can regain a good opinion of him

Dr Schott and his nurse Diane are very caring and professional. Always pleasant and knowledgeable. I have been a long time patient since Long Grove. They also return your calls promptly.

Dr. Schott is a terrific doctor who actually cares about his patients--a rarity in today's world. His credentials are outstanding and he's warm, intelligent and spends as much time as his patients need with him, listening, talking, advising, etc. He also follows-up with patients on his own time, off hours, etc. What a wonderful doctor!

He keeps himself current with the latest information. He is truly sincere, kind, bright and direct. He lets you know when there is an area that should be watched and also lets you know that the practice is there to work with you, so you won't be facing it alone. What a guy!

Dr. Schott is fantastic! He is so compassionate, patient, and kind. No ego here- just a man interested in helping people. I would HIGHLY recommend this doctor to anybody who has had a terrible experience- he just might turn that around!
