Although my work causes me to travel and live all over the country I see Dr Julie Bolton whenever I am in California and I have in the past depended on her for advice about traveling internationally.

Aside from being exceptionally well-informed about the current state of medicine, she is most focused on creating health in her patients instead of just treating illnesses which is the approach I am always looking for.

Dr Bolton is also sympathetic and listens thoroughly, explaining her treatment approach, and what can and cannot be done. Her approach creates a partnership between doctor and patient. For me, this creates best possible outcomes for my own wellness both short and long term.

I have had the very good fortune of being Dr. Bolton's patient many times over the years and every encounter has been a great one. You feel seen, heard and understood, letting you know that she genuinely cares to find solutions to your health problems. She really does check all the boxes!
Most recently, she found the right medication to treat my Migraines; a feat that no other doctor has been able to accomplish. My family and I will be forever grateful.

Dr. Bolton is friendly and down-to-earth. She doesn’t like to always prescribe prescriptions, however – probably at least in part because she’s a DO. She is very nutrition and fitness aware, which I can appreciate, but I saw her on a completely unrelated manner and she kept trying to talk about nutrition and diets. Once she offered to prescribe me a certain type of pill, but she insisted on prescribing only one particular brand, because she said the other brand was bad. She can be pushy with her views sometimes, and she likes to give her patients a small stack of handouts and articles about healthy living, regardless of whether you ask for it. She did this every time I saw her. I would give her a limited recommendation.
