Would you believe me if I told you I love coming to the dentist now because of Dr. Gilbert and his staff!?

Dr, Gilbert is a very experienced and knows how to talk to people and make them feel comfortable.

Great family dentist with a good chair-side manner. My kids have had positive experiences at the office. The hygenists take their time and my teeth feel great after. It's downtown so it's kind of far to drive to and parking can be tight, but would definitely recommend his office to friends.

The worst dentist experience of my life!
During my root canal Dr Gilbert's drill bit broke off and fell into my tooth cavity. It smelled and taste like burning metal. He just got up and left without saying anything! His dental assistant, who I happen to know said "oh no, this has never happened before-don't worry he has insurance. I was told that if the drill bit caused infection I would need to go to Anchorage for further assistance. I left upset, confused and never heard back from them until I received a collection notice for non payment??! I was floored and contacted the office and asked if there was something that could be done regarding the $1000 dollar bill since my root canal had never been finished. I never heard anything back. Instead I was sued by Dr Gilbert in small claims court for non payment. If I had the $$ I would have tried to fight him in court but I didn't so years later I am still paying off the debt that ended up being 4K after court fees, penalties etc. I still can't believe it happened and Dr Gilbert never did anything to correct his mistake.

Not much parking. Funny tobacco smell in front office. I did not really hear about or consent to my kids x-rays until he came out of the office (be nice to get informed before with radiation a concern). They want 12month x-rays, and the ADA site puts it at 18-24 months (but a good profit machine for the office). They did not really do the sealing I asked for (next appointment--more money...).. Sure they are nice and all but I kinda feel like I am making someone's boat payment. Could be better on the consumer information side.

Wonderful, thorough dentist and a kind, caring person. He's meticulous with his work, his staff is awesome, and he is funny and treats you like an equal. I would highly recommend him to anyone... my whole family, including my local extended family, has used him for everything from exams to tooth implants and we have never had a single issue with him.
