He saw me for a workman's comp case. Insurance company hired him to check my foot. Foot was crushed and lost my big toe. He looked at Foot quickly and started asking me obvious scripted questions. So, Insurance paid him to say my foot is fine. He asked me zero medical questions. He wouldn't even look me in the eye. Horrible! This guys sucks

Horrible experience. He did not give an accurate diagnosis. He said whatever the insurance company wanted him to say. Speaks volumes about his character. Staff was also rude.

He was treating me for knee problems from 207-2011. My knees were fine. It was my hips that were the problem and he never ordered a hip xray. In 2011 I had both hips replaced. I had to walk around in pain for 4 plus years thanks to Peter Dewire.

He is an outstanding Dr. I've been in medical field for years, and don't have much faith in Doctors, but he is exceptional. He did a great job for a friend who had an ankle fusion. He is caring, easy to talk too, and nice bedside manner. I highly recommend Dr. Dewire. In my books he is one of the best. Can't praise him enough!Staff is wonderful!

Glad I cancelled surgery with this doc. I had problems with scheduling the surgery. I actually caught the Scheduler in 2 lies and ran away....I obviously made the right choice. I've had more than 2 dozen surgeries and have learned the hard way that when you have problems upfront whether it's the doctor, medical assistant, scheduler etc that's a sign you should listen to. Hopefully my comments will help other patients.

Dr. Dewire never even looked at me while I described my problem. He turned away writing notes and never even looked at my foot. His demeanor was cold, uncaring and totally dismissive. I'd been referred for tendinitis and a possible ankle sprain that had kept me in a boot with terrible pain for a month, and his only suggestion was to take the boot off and try walking normally - seriously! - and then he said if my joints were loose, there was nothing that could be done. So he had no suggestions, no compassion and absolutely zero interest in even listening. If he wanted to make money, I can't figure out why he didn't go to Wall Street instead; he didn't seem to have much interest in caring for patients or helping them, at least not me. Maybe it's because I'm a female with a clean x-ray - no exciting fractures to hammer back together...But still, how about a little sympathy for someone in pain, even if you can't help!

Dr Dewire was on call for Ss Hosp pediatric ER. My son had possible dislocation or fractured growth plate in humerus. Not only would he not come in to check on my son , he wouldn't even get to a laptop to check out the X-rays online. What a disgrace- he should be ashamed of himself. Very bad reflection of SSHosp and it's pediatric ER! Home now without a finding. Told it is probably a growth plate fracture from general ER doc- this is same doc who told me to have my son where the sling to bed... Thanks god the nurse overheard that deathly advice... Where sling to bed??? I guess SSHosp ER didn't read the directions !

On the fence with this Doctor. He is always always late, extremely late, I even left once. He never says he's sorry for you waiting and extra hour over your appointment. That alone drives me crazy. Can't get past it to see if he is a good Dr. By the time he gets into the room I so made I can't think straight to go over why I'm there.
