Dr. O'leary is always recommending non-surgical options first, which I greatly appreciate.

I made an appointment to have my ingrown toenails removed. They called me on the day of my appointment and asked if I could come in earlier because the doctor had to leave early for an engagement. I got there an hour early, then waited and hour and a half to see the doctor. Once with the doctor, he was extremely rushed and did not complete the job. He did a minimal procedure, and said if it comes back, he would do it again and use a chemical to ensure the nail would not come back. I felt that he just used random tools from a drawer and I'm not sure they were sterilized. I did end up with an infection, that required an additional appointment and a round of antibiotics. the nail did grow back and now needs to be removed again. As the patient, I would have liked it to be done completely the first time, and not have to go through the pain of another procedure/recovery. I will choose another doctor to have it done again.

I saw Dr. O'Leary years ago at a clinic he worked at (probably a side job) one day a week. I had recalcitrant forefoot pain and was very depressed. This man had so much compassion, and was a great listener. Compassion is great, but moreover I got much better treatment overall because I felt like he was working with me to help me figure out what I was doing in my life/managing my injury that was hurting self. I have seen over last 20yrs 5-6 podiatrists for several different foot injuries. He is by FAR the kindest person, takes the time to explain things, best listener. He'll tell you if he doensn't know something...a Rare doctor...low ego.Really just a wonderful expererience. I am going to drive 30 miles to go seem him for this recent thing in his Weymouth office, now that I found him again. My PT, coincidently when asked to recommend a Podiatrist, recommended HIM even though it was over a decade ago she had worked with him.
