I have been a patient of Dr. Averett's for a number of years. I do not have chronic foot issues, but when I do need to see him, his staff is great in scheduling an appointment. Dr. himself, is thorough and efficient. He is able to break down the medical jargon to information that anyone can understand without making you feel dumb. I have referred a number of people to him and when they give me feedback, they are very pleased.

During my visit for a routine office visit on May 12, 2020, I wore a face mask as recommended by the CDC. I was appalled that no one in this office wore a mask. I commented to the health care professional that treated me that she was not wearing a mask. She replied "we are not required to". I would think any conscientious health care professional would be on the forefront to set the standard by which the community at large should emulate.
This health care professional was known to have administered standard flu shots to their staff last fall which indicates that they elect to take care of themselves. But wearing masks to help take care of patients evidently is beneath them.
I was very disappointed and with seek alternatives for my next visit to a podiatrist.

I’ve been going to Him for about 4 Yrs. he treats me with Respect and knows his stuff. I’m very happy with him.
Plus He’s Also A Hunter. Which means he’s a Regular Guy. Sounds Dumb but, I don’t want a Dr. who is gonna treat me like he’s awesome & I’m just a Patient

Being new in town, I was so excited to find a good and caring doctor who take care of my situation. He quickly assessed my problem and performed the surgery needed to fix my problem.

My son needed surgery after an accident and Dr. Averett was so great. We were visiting from out of town and were at a lose on how to find someone to help him. We were referred to Dr. Averett by family in the area and we are so grateful we went to him. He has a great bedside manner and put us at ease. Our son's pathology report came back with something odd, and he called us and explained what it meant and explained it to us in a way that was very easy to understand. We had already left the area but he worked with us to make a switch in medication. We highly recommend him!!
