After your new patient visit each follow up appointment for prescription refills, x-ray checks etc.. are at least a 2 hour wait. My last 3 appointments have been a minimum 2.5 hour wait with max 5-10min visit with Dr. Duncan. If it were once or twice, I'd understand but the patients were all taking in the waiting room and all stated that they have waited as long if not longer than me. One man joked that the seasons had changed while he was waiting for quick prescription refill appointment. RIDICULOUS!!!!

Dr. Duncan seemed nice, but the office she is in has the WORST service I've encountered as an adult. When my wife contacted the office for help, she was always delayed, messages not relayed, no phone calls returned, etc. When my wife had enough, she called to have her records sent to another pain management doctor. The office made it a big deal for her to come in - in person - to sign a release form. My wife did just that, then waited TWO WEEKS. She called her new pain doctor, who had not received the records. When she called Dr. Duncan's office to find out what happened, they told her they didn't have her release form. THIS is the kind of "service"; this office gives. This is the kind of help you recieve. When I called Dr. Duncan to speak with her about her staff, she told me she couldn't talk to me about my wife because she was now a patient of another doctor. The office staff is the WORST we have ever encountered as adults. Go somewhere else if you want to be treated with respect.

Dr. Duncan is amazing and has been so amazing to me and is so caring. I'm so thankful I found her no one else could treat my condition but she has and she is so understanding and great with me. I love her and I would recommend her to anyone. The kind of care she gives is beyond what most doctors give. She really takes the time to care. It takes a long time to see her but she is totally worth the wait wait.

Dr. Duncan has gotten rid of rude staff and as for Dr. Duncan herself . . . she is the GREATEST!!! I trust her, love her compassion and would recommend her to others. I've used her services for many, many years. Though we have pain management docs in New Braunfels (where we live) I continue to drive to SA because I trust her so much. I highly recommend her. I will go wherever she is to get pain relief.

My husband has been seeing Dr. Duncan for pain issues with his back and legs. When contacting the office, he was met with an arrogant and rude staff not interested in the needs of the patient. When attempting to have a prescription adjusted, he was again met with rudeness to the point where the nurse (?) hung up on him after yelling at him. I would not recommend this doctor based on the lack of compassion and disinterested support staff. The purpose for seeing a pain management physcian is to eliminate or control pain. This office is not interested in treating this patient but rather implanting an external apparatus. All the while treating the patient and his family with distain and disinterest.

My husband was treated by Dr. Ellen Duncan approximately 4 months ago for back pain. He initially told her his hip was hurting really bad, but after listening to his symtoms and examining him, she diagnosed the problem as back pain. She has excellent bedside manners, taking time to listen to you, and very, very good at diagnosing and treating the pain. She gave my husband a couple of cortizone shots which helped him tremendously. He has not had any back pain since then. We highly recommend Dr. Ellen Duncan to anyone. She is very knowledgable in her field and very understanding with a professional demeanor. Her staff has very good customer service and we did not have to wait very long to see the doctor. All in all, she deserves not just a 'best' rating, but an 'excellent'. Thank you.
