I went to Dr Spina for a dental implant. I was told what would be done along with a time frame for each part of the process and the cost. Dr Spina was very friendly along with his staff and everything went well accordingly. I was very pleased and happy with the success of my surgery and would use them again in the future if needed. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Anthony Spina and his incredible team at Chicago Surgical Specialists, and I must say, the experience exceeded all my expectations.

From the moment I stepped into the office, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine kindness from Dr. Spina's staff. Their professionalism and efficiency made the entire process seamless, and I felt reassured knowing that I was in capable hands.

Dr. Spina himself is nothing short of exceptional. His personable demeanor immediately put me at ease, and he took the time to address all my concerns and anxieties with patience and understanding. It's evident that he truly cares about his patients' well-being, going above and beyond to ensure their comfort and peace of mind.

Called and placed on hold by initial intake. Received return call from initial intake and repeatedly supplied the same information. Refused assistance to verify coverage but instead transferred to manager. Mentioned wait time and refusal to verify coverage. Manager disconnected call. Will report this office for poor registration and management. Do not expect good patient assistance and respect from this staff. They should be replaced with patient centric staff and management. My doctor has been notified and this complaint will be filed with BBB and other dental associations.

Had my wisdom teeth taken out from Dr Spina last year, the experience was excellent there for that procedure. I however had a consultation prior to the wisdom teeth removal from Dr Spina for jaw surgery that I need to have done. He said yes it is recommended and that he does these surgeries. He recommended I get my wisdom teeth taken out first prior to the jaw surgery which he did. After my wisdom teeth were taken out I followed up with the office asking what next steps I needed to take for the jaw surgery which he said he could do. They said they needed impressions sent over. I said fine, my ortho did impressions and mailed them over. Dr Spina's office confirmed they received them, I called back every week requesting an update for the procedure, the RN there said that they had been giving Dr Spina the messages and would get back to me. No one every got back to me. After 2 months of calling every week I gave up, their office still has my impressions and no one every called me back. I just wish I would have gotten an honest answer that maybe Dr Spina is just focusing on wisdom teeth removal at this time? Don't string patients along saying that they can do a procedure and then never follow through with an honest answer. My ortho charged me $150 for doing impressions and having them sent to his office. I have since switched oral surgeons to a different group in Chicago and the responsiveness of this office is night and day compared to Dr. Spina's office response or lack there of.

Competent and experienced surgical practice. I had four surgeries done by Dr. Spina over the course of 15 years and would absolutely refer anyone friends or family into his care. I am extremely satisfied with both his knowledge and experience that translates into his professional conduct. Facility is modern, clean and efficient with friendly, caring and compassionate staff.

Dr. Spina and his staff are wonderful. I had a very painful wisdom tooth and they went out of their way to fit me into their schedule and extract it. They are compassionate and professional. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Spina is the best oral surgeon. I have never seen such a patient dr. My son was very anxious about removing his wisdom teeth and Dr. Spina worked with us, which many other oral surgeons do not have that patience. He did a remarkable job and will recommend him to all that need Oral Surgery!

My dentist recommended Chicago Surgical Specialists for my wisdom teeth removal and I am so glad she did. Dr. Spina and his staff are wonderful! I am by nature a very nervous person and had been putting off having my wisdom teeth removed for about a decade, they were impacted but did not cause me any issues and I have never had a cavity but finally at my last cleaning my dentist found my first two cavities, one in each bottom wisdom tooth. Alas the inevitable could no longer be ignored, these teeth had to come out.

At the consultation Dr. Spina was friendly, kind, competent and answered all my questions. My sister, who lives in another state, had her wisdom teeth removed a few months ago and WOW-what a fiasco that has been for her. I was worried something similar would happened to me as we both waited to have our wisdom teeth removed till we were a bit older but Dr. Spina put me at ease with how simple this was and I was extremely surprised at fast it would take.

After letting my family and work know I had to get this done everyone and I mean everyone has told me about their and their children’s horror stories with wisdom teeth removal. Again I am a very nervous person so going in for the procedure my blood pressure was HIGH. I was very worried about how much discomfort I was about to feel or how painful recovery was going to be. The dental assistant/tech, who assisted Dr. Spina, Kathy was amazing at calming me down by walking me through everything from setting up to discharging me. It really felt like she went above and beyond but she’s absolute pro and most likely has done this a million times. I was well taken care and can’t thank her enough. The worst part out of all of everything was the pinch from when the doctor was numbing me and that it, that’s all I felt.

Everything from scheduling, checking in and dealing with insurance (shout out to the women at the front desks- You’re all sweethearts!) the consultation, filling prescriptions, the procedure and recovery has gone smoothly and without issue. I am currently on day 3 of recovery and have had minimal discomfort and no real pain. I’ve only had to take ibuprofen and over the counter Tylenol as well as my antibiotic. I’ve followed their recommendations for icing 20 mins on and off for the first 24 hours and only had to ice my cheeks once after that and swelling has not been an issue.

Thank you Dr. Spina and staff, your professionalism and passion for your work truly shows!! Also extremely happy with all the protocols and safety measures they are taking during Covid. Highly recommend anyone who needs oral surgery to come see Dr. Spina and staff at Chicago Surgical Specialists

Dr. Spina was highly recommended for my daughter's wisdom teeth removal surgery as many of her friends had their surgery performed by Dr. Spina. From scheduling to surgery the staff was great! I highly recommend Dr. Spina for your oral surgery needs.
