This was the worst experience I have had with a doctor - EVER.
I was here with my children (who have had several eye checkups before). When making the appointment, and when checking benefits, I was asking thrice if I wanted to pay additional to avoid dilation and use their 'special' machine. I cleared said No as my kids have never had issues with dilation.
Then the 'dr' shows up. And he does not STOP telling me how I'm about to torture my kids. How people go blind without the necessary tests. When it came time for the dilation, he said, Watch her cry. She didn't. Then he looked my younger daughter and said Wait until its her turn. I told him to stop scaring the kids. He didn't. I really should have walked out, but since we were almost done, I figured lets just get over with it.

Needless to say, I took the prescription and walked. They lost my business of getting lenses and frames.

I am appalled by their techniques. To try to get kids to cry and scare them in order to get more money! Seriously????

I went to this doctor 3 times in the last 5 years. I think he is the best eye doctor I've ever been. He spent time to make sure the prescription was right. He asked me what I need the eyeglasses for & told me my choices. I took the eye pictures this year. He showed & explained the pictures to me. It's amazing. Since I went to him the first time, I decided to go back. I feel I am going to a friendly place to see a friend. His store has a good selection of eyeglasses. There are many eyeglasses that I like. I hope I can buy more pairs.

Terrible. Do not waste your time. I have been to Dr. Seiler twice (for annual check ups) and have finally learned my lesson. He is so rude when it comes to discussing price comparisons between brands and vendors - using endless anecdotes about people "losing an eye because of bad lenses", etc (similar to a previous reviewer's experience). Upon settling the bill, I inquired about the details of my contact fitting fee and he got so defensive ... he pulled his wife into the conversation and said in front of my face "This woman doesn't think she should pay her bill". WHAT?? Not at all what I was saying. He goes on to say "Well, I wasn't going to tell you, but your corneas are actually scratched". WHAT?? Really? Isn't it your job to inform me of this anyway? What does that have to do with THIS issue? He proceeded to storm off like a child. And that's the last I'll ever see of him!

I asked Dr. Seiler a question about possibly buying diving goggles online and had to endure a lecture about how he'd spent "hours" researching goggles for me and about his patients who are cheap and/or stupid. Dr. Seiler was rude, and after he gave me my prescription, I sent him an email saying that was no way to to business; he responded that he was insulted I would consider buying eye-gear online. Then he sent me a certified letter severing our doctor-patient relationship. My prescription turned out to be faulty, but I would rather spend the money going to another doctor to get the correct prescription than set foot in his store again...

I have keratoconus in my left eye in addition to being severely myopic in both. I have been seeing Dr Seiler for twenty years and through all of that time, he has enabled me to see the very best I can. He takes his time and is extremely precise in his measurements. He is also a great diagnostician - he was the doctor that diagnosed keratoconus and most recently a detached vitrious humor. When my mother's opthamologist was unavailable after she had a complication from her corneal transplant, he made the time to see her and was able to help until she could get in touch with her doctor. He is very down to earth and will explain everything so you understand it. I recommend Dr Seiler because of his skill, professionalism, and for being a doctor who truly who enjoys what he does.
