I would NEVER recommend this dentist to anyone I care about. I do not recommend Linda Selby, DDS for mini implants to anyone at any price. And her insurance program is ridiculous.....
Office staff is disorganized, doesn't know what the dentist is doing. Don't know if you received After Care instructions after extractions and mini implants. Isn't that ridiculous?

My dentist retired and now I go to Dr. Linda Selby Jones, I found the staff very friendly and helpful, very accommodating to all my needs, and the doctor always took her time with me.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Linda Sally Jones for your dentist .

There seems to be a horiffic DISCONNECT between office staff and Dr. personal ! NEITHER KNOW WHAT THE OTHER IS DOING ! very scary for the patient being told one thing, and having a different procedure scheduled.... only to find what you think you have paid for, be MORE MONEY when seated w. Mouth forced in open, and can't ask .... WHA. ! ? ! DID YOU SAY I AM HERE FOR ???!!?!..... WAY bad and costly. Shop around ! I wish I did ! End result... NOT WORTH THE PAIN in my pocket book ! Confusing and wicked experience. 9000. $ in debt now.

I've been here several times and can say that the staff has treated me and my sons with the utmost care and concern for our health. My son had a dental problem that went unnoticed or not mentioned by his previous dentist in town. Dr. Selby let me know the urgency of the treatment, the cost, and the procedures. She also checked with the previous dentist to find out why this problem wasn't noted. The previous dentist just didn't do his job and Dr. Selby went out of her way to make sure my son was taken care of. She even offered to have him driven to the specialist she recommended. You can't get people to go out of their way like that anymore. Her and her staff have been nothing short of spectacular.

My visits to Dr. Selby and Sunset Dental have been nothing but completely positive. Every staff member from the awesome receptionist, Shelly, to the dental assistants and dental hygienists has been very pleasant and positive. Dr. Selby listens carefully to concerns and does not recommend a treatment that is not necessary. She and her staff are very patient oriented and it is clear that your health and comfort are their primary concern. I highly recommend this dentist to anyone.

Dr Dorian was an incompetent boon. Needed bridge put in for extracted tooth. He talked me into a dental implant without telling me there was an additional fee for him to do the actual tooth. I went to an endodonist to have the implant done $ 5,000. Then had to go to Sunset to get the tooth. Imagine my surprise it ess an additional $3,000. Sunset never gave me an estimate for the work that was needed after the endodonist. I NEVER would have had this work fine had I known the total cost.

I'm sorry that your experience with Dr. Dorius was not good. Our office is receptive to feedback regarding the care our doctors offer. We also want to know if we need to improve when it comes to good communication. It sounds like we need to try and find a better solution. If you have not done so already, please contact our office so we may try to resolve your concern. I know that any staff member of the front desk would be glad to hear from you.

Terrible...I am shocked that she is still practicing. What are her credentials? The worst and sleeziest dentist that I have ever visited. Be ready to be frisked for cash. She'd spread out appointments (to repeatedly bill insurance). She wanted to replace ALL of my fillings, though I have never had problems with them. It resulted in an infection and root canal (done by another dentist). The other dentist was shocked that she wanted to "fix" something that was not broken. Years later, the fillings that she wanted to replace?..all fine! Stay away if you value your teeth and wallet.

I am sorry that you feel this way. I definitely hope you contacted our office regarding your concerns. At our office, we start our relationship with a free new patient exam and x-rays, and we always do follow-up visits for recent care at no charge to the patient. Certain treatment can require subsequent visits to adjust the bite to get it just right after someone has had extensive treatment. Those visits are free to both the patient and insurance. If we billed for something in error, I hope it was brought to the attention of the front desk staff so we had an opportunity to correct it. We would want to know if this happens so we can contact insurance and correct it swiftly. If you believe this has occurred, please let us know.

It definitely concerns me that another dentist was "shocked" by our recommendations. I have experienced many different dental environments. I have even worked in offices with two doctors. Each dentist often has their own treatment approach, however, they are cautious to "judge" another dentist's treatment plan, since as care providers they don't really know the circumstances surrounding the encounter. I have watched doctors advocate for a patient who felt they had "poor" or botched care but never have I seen a dentist "shocked" in front of a patient regarding another dentist's recommendations (I've worked with more than 20 filling in or long term). I would love the opportunity to visit with you about your experience at our office, if you are looking for a solution. If not, I hope you were able to find an office that met your needs. The staff was a hit or miss. Some of them were extremely friendly while others seemed to be in a rush. The office quoted me over $6000 in dental work knowing I didn't have insurance. I went to another dentist to confirm that I needed all this work done and told that I only needed a general cleaning and one cavity filled. I would NOT recommend this dentist!

Thank you for your valuable feedback. It makes me feel bad that your experience with the staff was not consistent. We try to make sure patients have a positive encounter with each person they meet in our office. In regard to the quote for services, we always try to give patients a "heads up" when we see a future potential problem, i.e. fillings that will fail, deep decay possibly leading to root canal.

I am a little scared of a dental/healthcare scenario that only gives patients treatment plans we think they can afford versus needs or will need in the future. We recommend the care that we would want for ourselves. I know we do our very best to communicate well with patients the treatment needs that are elective vs. treatment needs that are necessary. It sounds like maybe we didn't do our best job of that in this case.

Dr Selby and her staff were very knowledgable and spent time explaining to me exactly what they were doing. I had never had a filling before and the combination of the nitrous and heated massage chairs made my first one a very enjoyable experience! The front desk staff were forthcoming about the charges and were happy to explain my insurance coverage to me. I won't go anywhere else for dental care.
