Had concerns with bunion surgery 3 months after surgery preformed but told not to come in to office. Finally had to push to come in at 4 month (now out of post op coverage), Joan adler was condescending, annoyed by our concerns and insulting. Since then I have had to have 2 correction surgeries (1st was extensive last year with 13 week recovery/ 2nd this year with 6 week recovery at HSS NYC) to try to diminish the pain I was left with from Adler’s surgery. My foot was left worse condition than it was with my bunion originally. Bunion reoccurred in less then a year and large toe joint bone is misshapen from Adler. Tried calling UHS multiple times but that went no where as office never followed up with me. Bad review left on UHS site seemed to disappear after posting. DO NOT go to Joan adler for any kind of surgery. She should not be allowed to operate anymore.

Dr. Adler caused more harm than good. Don’t waste your time. My son went for ingrown toenail. Maybe that’s what she’s good for. My foot required major surgery after going to Adler for over a year. She did nothing for me except insult me.

Bunion surgery left me worse off then I started. When tried to talk to dr about pains and concerns 4 months after surgery, dr was condescending, seemed annoyed we were back in her office and totally dismissive of my concerns. Bunion completely returned less then a year from her surgery. I Have had to have second more extensive surgery and recovery to try to redo bunion and other complications from first surgery. Do NOT recommend at all.

Dr. Adler is an excellent physician. Not only is she an expert in her field, but shows a human factor in the medical field. She treated my broken foot with such good care that I was able to avoid surgery.
