I have been a patient for over 15 years now..although at times Dr. Heffernanc may seem rushed she is very knowledgeable. For routine visits i tend to see Linda Witkowski(APN) - she is usually easier to make an appointment with and is very thorough and on time. I recently had a more serious issue to contend with in which i had to see Dr. Heffernan and she was fabulous - very nurturing, knowledgable and understanding. Also, she was my ob/gyn through both of my preganancis - really great. The staff too remembered me even though i had not been into see the dr for a few years.....

Office staff totally useless. Pharmacy called in a perscription which apparently could not be filled due to the fact that last physical was 1 year ago even though was in 7 months earlier. Office staff did not even bother to call to notify of the situation. Was instead rude when I called. Switching to another dr today!!

I had a D&C after a miscarriage and had Dr. Heffernan as the on call doctor. She was the perfect blend of providing me with all the details I needed, was clear in communication and also showed compassion. I was pleasantly surprised at how much she already knew about my situation and how personalized she made it feel even though we'd just met.

Not as helpful in sharing inforamtion as I would like. Exams always seemed rushed and no time for questions or discussion. Staff is OK but there is a longer than normal wait time; always crowded.

I've been going to Dr. Heffernan for many years. I find her knowledgeable, straight forward and friendly. I usually take early morning appointment, so there's no wait. I've been able to discuss with her any concerns I had. She is somewhat hurried, but there aren't many doctors who aren't.

I've been going to Dr. Heffernan for 3 years now. I only see her once a year for my annual check up, so I don't expect her to remember me, but if she would read my chart she could easily see I am a repeat patient and does not need to say "nice to meet you" each time she sees me. Every time I have been in for an exam she is always in a rush and is quite rough with her examination. A gentle touch she does not have. I usually spend at least 30-45 in the waiting room and the time spent in the exam room with her is about 10 minutes, if that. Also, when you want to schedule your appointment you must call 2 months in advance of when you'd like to go. All in all I don't really have anything positive to say. I think I will be searching for a new doctor.

I have been going to Dr. Heffernan for at least 12 years and have never had a problem with her. My only complaint is the wait time. Otherwise, her staff has always been very helpful and even though the doctor is rushed, she is very caring. By the way, her nurse practioner is excellent.

This practice has the worst staff I've encountered! Not friendly and could care less about the patients. The times I have called they act as if they are doing me a favor. I never get my tests results and if I wouldn't have f/u on previous blood-work I believe I would have m/c. Having said all this I do like Dr. Heffernan, I don't like waiting 45 mins. to see her but she has a nice bed side manner and answered all my questions. I'm seriously considering switching practice, I like Dr. Heffernan but I don't know if I want to deal with their staff for the next couple of months.

Dr. Heffernan's staff is very unprofessional and condescending at best. I called after my husband and I got pregnant on our own (without IVF) and the nurse was very rude and made a snide comment about my estrogen level pregnancy number from my G.P. doctor (she said, "that's all it is". Then when Heffernan's office re-did the test and I had not heard anything about the results for 3 days, I decided to call and one of the nurses told me very non-caringly that my pregnancy test was negative. Then the nurse said, "oops, were you supposed to be pregnant." Why are her nurses even giving out test results without consulting with Heffernan first! Then when I told Heffernan how rude & unprofessional her staff was, she ignored my comments! Most disorganized office, with no one at the HELM!

Took over a month to even get an appointment. First time there, exam was rushed and she did not even go over my history/file. Was very pushy for me to get that HPV shot and was about to get a nurse to do it before I could even answer! Will not go back.
