Not impressed and not happy. I went to the doctor because I was having pain when walking. I wasn't sure I needed orthotics but the doctor convinced me I did. The office staff ensured me that my orthotics would be covered by my insurance. I even asked if I needed to call my insurance company to verify but was assured it was all taken care of. You can guess the outcome -- insurance did NOT cover these extraordinarily expensive orthotics ($600). I'd advise all patients to make sure your insurance covers these; often the doctor has to prove he/she has tried various other remedies (like anti-inflammatory medications, wrapping/taping the foot, booties, etc.) before orthotics will be approved. Beware! I would not return to this doctor ever again.
