Biography

Dr. Ira M. Fox received his Bachelor’s Degree from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore in 1975 and his medical degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia in 1980. He completed his residency training in foot and ankle surgery in Chicago at Forkosh Memorial Hospital and Chicago Hospital for Special Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons. Dr. Fox is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He specializes in reconstructive and traumatic surgery of the foot and ankle, and his areas of interest include trauma, adult complex foot and ankle deformities and reconstruction of the diabetic foot. Dr. Fox formerly was Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Camden for 15 years. During that time he was also Head of the Section of Foot and Ankle Surgery and Director of the Foot and Ankle Surgery Residency program at Cooper University Hospital. Three times he was named one of the TOP DOCS in the Delaware Valley by Philadelphia Magazine.
