I had a HORRIBE experince with dr. Dollar

I had a HORRIBLE, painful experience with Dr. Follat. Aside from having pain and having to ask her to stop, she put a go,d onlay which is not done, and I had to get that take off and spend lot of money to fix what she did. I also felt like an object on the chair, ignored and she spoke to her husband/assistant in another language language that I don’t know. I felt like I was being tortured 8n a concentration camp. I should have reported her years ago when it happened.

Doctor Follat has always been very knowledgeable and provides very good service. As an example, I came to her with an impacted wisdom tooth that was causing me a lot of problems. Doctor Follat extracted the tooth with absolutely no discomfort or pain and provided me with post-extraction instructions for use in the healing process. As a result, I never had a problem. The location of the extraction healed perfectly and quickly and I've not had any post extraction issues. I would highly recommend doctor Follat to anyone who's seeking professional and knowledgeable dental service. I wouldn't trust my teeth to anyone else.

I have been going to Dr. Follat for nearly 30 years now. She started her career in the early 60's but has established herself in Madison since the early 70's. She is quite diligent in her work and does educate the patient when necessary. And to correct others comments, she does work with children, I would know since I was a child when I first sat in her chair. In fact, her waiting room contains photos of the children she has worked with. Her only downside is time. She may schedule you for an appointment at 3 pm, but you may not receive her direct attention until 3:45pm or later. This is sometimes due to her attention on a previous patient. Mind you that when she's with you, she is focused on your issues and will answer any questions. She also has a background in holistic medicines and can educate you on a better health track. Dr. Follat's husband, Rudy, is a gentle giant that aids her and greets you as you enter.

I would seriously question any doctor that found 9 cavities w/out x-rays while examining a pediatric patient. Perhaps the new "holistic" doctor you went to was more interested in making money, rather than erring on the part of being conservative. Especially since most children will end up losing their deciduous (aka "primary") teeth anyway.

I brought my son to another holistic dentist for a second opinion after visiting Dr. Follat because I felt that she was unable to answer any of my questions. He found 9 cavities just looking in my son's mouth (no x-rays) that she missed all together. When I first made his appointment I asked if she saw children and was told that she did but she seemed very apprehensive about working with us despite the fact that my son was comfortable and cooperative. At best she's not comfortable with children but I found her to be completely incompetant.
