Stay away! An ultrasound revealed ovarian cysts, she called me at work with the results, said that I needed a hysterectomy, and that I probably had cancer! Said she already scheduled the surgery for the following Monday, and that I would have to be off work for 6 months! I insisted on coming to the office to talk about exactly WHAT was wrong. During that visit, she shoved papers at me to sign, giving her permission to do whatever she deemed necessary during the surgery. I said I was going to consult with the surgeon who was doing the procedure; she said that wasn't necessary. I also told her I was getting a second opinion: she haughtily said that wasn't necessary either. Had a heck of a time getting my health records faxed to surgeon and other practitioner. Both of them were shocked, said surgery wasn't immediately necessary. The second doctor diagnosed me with endometriosis, and performed surgery to remove ovarian cysts and endometrial tissue. Do NOT see this doctor!

Dr. Heis told me I needed a hysterectomy before she even did an exam. She repeatedly pushed the hysterectomy, even though I questioned her and offered alternatives. This is a LIFE CHANGING SURGERY!!! I did some research and have since learned that 95% of all hysterectomies are unnecessary, including 'mine'. I DO NOT NEED A HYSTERECTOMY! Why would anyone do that to someone else?! I think it should be considered criminal.

I have been going to Dr. Heis for almost 15 years. My mother goes to her and several of my friends and family have followed my recommendation and see her now as well. Three years ago she delivered my first baby. She is very knowledgeable, kind, sympathetic, understanding and patient. I can't say enough about how wonderful she and her staff are. I even moved away for a little while and traveled back in town just to see her. DEFINITELY recommend!

I had my first baby recently and Dr. Heis and her staff took excellent care of me. Dr. Heis took her time to explain everything in full detail and didn't use medical jargon. She would always make me feel very comfortable when she knew I was extremely nervous. I am so glad that she was a part of my first child's birth.
