I never saw Dr. Nunez until the day of my labor. Dr. Cohen was my OB but he was on vacation. From the moment i got into the hospital (Plantation General in 2011) she pushed a c section. Didnt look at me when she came into the room went straight to my private area and ruptured my membranes without permission. Horrible bedside manner and I overheard her saying she wanted to go home by 11pm to sleep. I ended up fighting with her the entire time there that i dont want a c section and I was fine and baby was fine. Her excuse was she didnt think i would dilate. Of course I wouldnt she stressed me out from the moment she walked into the room and my body sensed fear and stress and it wont dilate when in fear since it detects the environment is not safe for baby to come out. Nonetheless in between all of her c sections that night she came in to push mine.. I tried so hard but finally gave in.. While in c section I felt her cutting thru me.. I screamed in agony and shook uncontrollably and the nurses behind me carried on in their conversations about their personal life and dismissed me. It was such a traumatic experience. This MD should have her license revoked. I wouldnt recommend her to anyone.

I have been a patient with Dr. Nunez for a while. I notice her behavior from the beginning but I didnt want go through the hastle of look for another doctor. When I arrived there found out they moved from the Sawgrass Mills & Sunrise location. I had no notification of a letter or phone I call letting me know about this change. I called the office, luckly there phone number haven't changed. I spoke to the medical asst that I will be running late. She said you can't come now Dr. Nunez is really STRICT on patients being late and would have to reschedule. I couldn't believe what I just heard. I explained that I got here early and I am not late and had no idea you guys have moved. The medical asst didn't care what I had to say. I still wasn't able to be seen. What bothers me the most, I have been coming to her office for years and never late, Im always on time. I felt horrible like they didn'r care who I was and its all about making that money and thats it. I found a much better doctor.

My wife was always complaining about her and I always was thinking that my wife was over worrying. But then it came the day of the delivery, we went a day before she gave birth to our baby with contractions and Dr Cohen was the one that was on there that day he personally checked my wife and send us home because we were not just there. Next day contractions increased got an appointment in her office, the office sent us there because she was ready, Dr Cohen came to congratulate us and off we go to the hospital. That day she was in the hospital and never even went to see us.It was like if she was waiting to pass the hot potato to the next doctor. My wife got really complicated and it was a scary delivery, all the doctors from her team came to see us even doctors that only saw us one time to ask for my wife and my baby, she only came to gave us he discharge order VERY DISAPPOINT IT!!! I was furious!!! Run away from her all the other doctors in the office are great.

General disposition is impersonally, phlegmatic and cold. Barely speaks with her patient. She almost seems shy... I have been going to her office for more than 7yrs and up to only recently she seems to be making an effort to communicate with her patients.

PLEASE save yourself and AVOID HER! Treats patients like lab rats! She hardly hardly said 3 words to me. Her exams are so PAINFUL. I am pregnant and she was surprised as to why I was in pain. she has no bedside manners. Please only see her if you are stuck on a deserted island. My whole experience with her is summed up in one word: HORRIBLE

I would not recommend this doctor. When I first went to see her, I was only 7 weeks pregnant, but it was my first pregnancy and I was high risk. When I asked what I should know about pregnancy she said "I don't have time to lecture you about pregnancy". I asked her about birth plans and she said we would talk more about it at 28 weeks. Well, when 28 weeks rolled around, and I asked her about the plan, she told me she doesn't "do" birth plans because it's against her company policy. Everytime I saw her I felt rushed in and out and she didn't ever give me any information, just "you look good see you next time". She also didn't seem to care at all about me. I switched doctors because I just didn't feel comfortable having her deliver me.

Dr. Nunez has very little in way of bedside manner - other doctors in same office are amazing! I got a leg cramp while in stirrups and she told me I was too young to have a leg cramp - that leg cramps were for old ladies - and then put my cramping leg back in the stirrup. When I asked her about something personal - she gave me a smirk that made me very uncomfortable. I will never see Dr. Nunez again, but Dr. Jay Cohen is the most amazing gyn. in the world.

Refused to do my required 35w vaginal exam b/c she wasnt my 'primary provider' and when i expressed my concerns, she told me she couldnt tell if i was dilated by just doing a vaginal exam! Waste of time! Wouldnt recommend to ANYONE! Dr. Matos is the best there is and she doesnt lie to her patients!
