I was a patient of Dr. Abernathy in 2010 and 2016. I now have extensive problems with my back and need surgery. When I asked why I was not referred back to Dr. Abernathy I was told he does not take patients who are on Medicare. WHAT??? I asked what to do in order to see him. There was nothing I could do. Once you are on Medicare, you can no longer see Dr. Abernathy. I was flabbergasted! Now is when I need him. I can't believe he chooses money over helping people, especially patients that he has had for 9 years. I was so disappointed. So Very Disappointed. July 6th 2019 Brenda Hanken
