You couldn't ask for a better doctor. He cares about you as a person not just as a patient. When I was in his office he was very caring and humble and explained to me in detail what he found on the xray and what the best treatment plan would be. You may have to wait for a while to see him but everyone goes to him because he knows what he is talking about and probably one of the best orthopedic surgeons around so it is understanding. His staff is very helpful and understanding with financial hardships. He's a great doctor!

I agree with above, he is rude, uncaring and sarcastic. The surgery he did left me in worse pain, unable to care for my home and family and in constant pain. I followed up with him and wxpressed my concerns at every appointment for six months. My problem is so severe now that only the head of ortho at the university of mo can fix it. Still dr ball told me my pain and loss of function was all in my head as i sat in his office with my family begging me for help and he stated its all in my head. His staff is very rude and uncarring i was laughed at by his receptionist when i was in pain so severe i couldnt sit. I cant sit after my hip replacement I sleep many nights when I can leaning over my sofa I am only 36 years old with a family,a life, children and he doesnt care what he's done. There is one word to describe this dr. CRUEL.

As a new patient with a scheduled appointment I waited 2 and 1/2 hours to see the doctor. He did not demonstrate any knowledge of the nature of my injury nor did he seem to care. His receptionist was nothing less than extremely rude. And lastly I was informed that if I needed medication to manage any pain that I should go the emergency room or see my primary care physician. Since I have lived in this area for only 6 weeks I do not have an established primary care physician but do have a scheduled appointment in February. I would hesitate recommending this physician to anyone who requires surgery or has nay long term discomfort. Dr. Ball is unwilling to prescribe any medication for patient comfort. Poor service, poor knowledge, rude staff equals no more business from me!
