Very crass and uncaring! I lost a baby about halfway through my pregnancy and was understandably upset at my 2 week follow up. He had the nerve to tell me "it could've been worse, you could've lost him at 36 weeks. Then we would've all been upset!" Then I asked him what was the likelihood of me losing another child the way I had because i didnt want to bury another baby. He stated "if you are looking for a guarantee I can't give you that. If you don't want to bury another child then don't try again." I asked questions and made suggestions because I am a nurse and quite knowledgable and he acted like he knew it all and I knew nothing! I switched after that appointment and now have a beautiful 10 month old baby boy who is healthy. My pregnancy was rocky but I got through it. Guess what? My suggestions to Dr Russell about what caused the loss was the same problem I had in my last pregnancy (incompetent cervix). So yes, I do know a lil bit!!

Dr. Russell is the best! He truely cares about his patients, is very detail oriented, and does a remarkable job by himself! He makes women feel comfortable and, has a good sense humor and tels you the things you need to hear to keep you and your baby safe. Because of a serious illness with my previous doctor, I had to find another in less then two weeks before my c-section. When no other doctor would take me because they did not know anything about my pregnancy, Dr. Russell took us in with open arms. My c-section went very well and he stayed on top of everything to make sure I was handeling everything well. He is truely phenominal as a doctor and a person. I strongly reccommend him!

I developed a very serious condition called HELLP syndrome during my pregnancy and my health was failing fast. He literally saved my life and the life of my baby who is healthy as can be now.

Here is the deal. His staff spoke to my mother about my pregnancy WITHOUT my permission! On top of that he tried to scare me into an induction or section by telling me he may not be on call that nights or stories of women who didn't make it to the hospital in time & either lost their baby or something was wrong with it. I quit going to appointments alone. He gave me the wrong medication for an infection while I was pregnant. I switched Dr.s at 32 weeks b/c of him.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Russell. He makes every situation feel comfortable. He takes his time and answers every question you may have. Hes very helpful. His staff is AMAZING. They treat you with respect all the time and are very friendly. Dr Russell is the ONLY doctor i have been truly comfortable with. Recovering from a csection gave me no problems, and he made sure to give me appts when i needed them, as soon as possible. i wouuld reccomend him to EVERYONE!!!
