Dr Smith always makes you feel like he really cares about you- like you are his own family. I have been to several Dr's and I'd rather wait for a good one than be seen quickly in and out without quality treatment. Maybe patience is something more of us need to try and work on, our issues for which we all are seeking help for didn't come over night and aren't going to go away overnight no matter if you find a quickie DR or hang in there with one who deeply cares for his patients.

Wonderful caring Dr....so what if I had to wait....it was worth it....and obviously he was helping someone else, which is wonderful too. It may be me that makes him late sometime and I expect others to understand.

The day that you need to spend more time than usual with a doctor, and you are grateful that he gives it to you, is the day that you will realize that "on time" is the last thing that you should look for in a physician -- especially a psychiatrist. I have been a patient of Dr. Smith's for years and he has helped me immensely -- he even called me at home one night about a health issue concerning my husband. He has always treated me as though I am the only patient he has at that moment ... and I wouldn't settle for less. Dr. Smith cares about his patients and, in the day of "medication only" appts. vs. "psychiatric consultation" appts., he manages to do both in a very compassionate way -- he looks at the whole picture. If all you want is punctuality, then that's all you deserve. I personally want to feel "normal" -- and Dr. Smith cares enough to spend whatever time it takes (within reason) to help every one of his patients find "normal" ... whatever "normal" is!!

This doctor seemed unprofessional and I did not feel I was treated well. Waiting too long at the doctor's for about two hours when he is with another patient. I had to find me another doctor and I like my new physchiatrist.
