I started treatment for the mRNA appliance on November 9, 2016 with [Dr.] Von Roenn after starting to see her as a patient back in mid-August. Her explanation for the delay came in two different stories. First, the appliances were made in California and second, the individual who designed this appliance was lobbying before Congress to get it approved by the FDA. While the second explanation made complete sense, the first, after having done some research, proved to be completely false as there are multiple facilities throughout the US that make the appliances. Still once I did get the appliance (only the top piece) Von Roenn would bring me in for an appointment and leave me in the dark as to what changes she made to the appliance and appointments only lasted ten or fifteen minutes with them occasionally being longer. She never gave me the bottom piece and just told me to keep turning the top every five days. Finally on October 25, 2017 she gave me my bottom piece, after it had to be remade twice, and by this time my top palette was significantly larger than my bottom. Von Roenn said the bottom would not stretch my palette only upright the teeth. This made no sense as my top was significantly larger than my bottom, but then nothing else she did made sense either. I continued treatment as she wanted as eating became more difficult figuring either treatment would be done soon or I would just end it. I saw Von Roenn February 28, 2018 to have my retainer mold and wound up not going back till April 5th to pick it up. Needless to say I will not go back.

Dr. Von Roenn put braces on me and shifted all of my teeth to one side. When they were taken off, I told her they did not look right and she refused to talk to me about it or even correct it. I had to go and pay dentist and pay another $4000 to get them corrected. DO NOT LET HER DO YOUR ORTHO.

Dr. Von Roenn refused to treat me after an error with insurance payments caused by no fault of mine. The staff set the appointment that I made after the bill had been paid in full. After I waited and was brought back to be seen, the good Dr. came in and asked why was I there, she wasn't about to work on someone she was owed money from. Her assistant was aghast and I promptly left her office.
