Stay away from RMA, you never meet with a doctor during cycles. You do get calls with your levels and medication instructions. Important conditions are overlooked and they proceed with cycles no matter if they notice conditions that should be addressed.

Dr. Stangel is an excellent RE. While I didn't fall pregnant under his care, I always knew he had my best interests at heart. He was cautious, caring, and explained everything. He answered any questions my husband and I had and always showed us a great deal of respect. He practices medicine the way it should be practiced. I would recommend him to anyone trying to conceive.

I highly recommend Dr. Stangel and his staff. I have been a patient of his for a year and a half; he has always returned my phone calls, gave me enough time for questions and sincerely cared about my well being. He is very professional and very smart. The experience he has allowed him to diagnose my infertility and recurrent miscarriages.. He is not quick to do IVF and seems to be much more conservative than other RE's that I have encountered. I do pray that I will have a baby and I have the confidence that Dr. Stangel and his staff will be there to guide and monitor me.

Dr. Stangel came recommended but was unfortunately a big disappointment in my experience. I used his services for a year, and during this time I was the one doing all the homework to understand about infertility. He seemed uninterested and uncaring about the whole thing. He never explained a single thing unless I asked him he also made me feel rushed. I got to see him a few times but the rest of office visits were handled by his nurse Martha who couldn't have been more rude and showed zero compassion. In addition, Dr.Stangel directed the phone calls to his staff and when i insisted to speak to him it was obvious he was annoyed. With regards to diagnosis, and treatment, Dr.Stangel conducted endless blood work on a weekly basis and strongly suggested IVF which he assigned his nurse to explain the process to me. Bottom line he never bothered to diagnose or to run infertility tests. Results: stress, aggravation and $10K bill.  Now I'm seeing a different doctor.

I saw Dr. Stangel in March 2011, and was immediately told that the only way I could ever get pregnant was through an ivf cycle. I went ahead and did it. Although Theresa was very nice and helpful, i only saw my own doctor twice, once for the initial visit, and once to sign my consent forms. Not only did I only see him twice in my 2-3 months being there, but i was being charged copays for seeing a medical assistant and an ultrasound tech. When I got my calls in the afternoon, i spoke to the doctor through the nurse. Extremely disappointing and inpersonal. I tried to actually switch out mid-cycle, but no one would take me because he had started the cycle already. I was then sent to RMAC for my retrieval/transfer, where i saw a doctor i never met who stood at the door yelling to the nurse that he had to get to "news channel 12", and was scurried out within 15 min of transfer. Needless to say, cycle did not work, and i was not happy. Trying to get your records is a joke too!

I credit Dr. Stangel with figuring out why I was having multiple miscarriages and helping me have my two sons. He is a miracle worker in my mind! I had been to a fertility specialist in Connecticut where I live, and all he wanted to do was pump me up with fertility drugs. I went to Dr. Stangel on a friend's recommendation, and he did extensive testing that the other doctor didn't even suggest. He also, more importantly, really cared about me and sincerely wanted to help me have another baby. I had my first child, a daughter, with no problems. Dr. Stangel spent time with me every time I had a visit for anything at all, whether it was just blood work or an ultrasound. I highly recommend Dr. Stangel and his staff. They helped me through a very difficult and upsetting time of my and my husband's life, and helped give us our two sons, our miracle babies. Thank you Dr. Stangel from the bottom of our hearts.

I've been working with Dr Stangel since September 2009. Although I have not yet gotten pregnant I feel confident that I am getting ideal care and services to eventually reach my goals. I highly recommend this doctor as he is very knowledgable and has many years of practice, research and credability.
