Dr. Ray is pretty moody. Maybe it's because she's always running late or because I was just gynecological appointments and never pregnant. But I had poly cystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and was always in horrible pain and a side effect of PCOS is infertility! For an obese doctor herself to lecture and nag me about my weight every single time I saw her was cruel and I was not and still am not pre-diabetic or diabetic! She constantly hounded me every time to try this all liquid diet "Optifast" through Alexian Brothers!! So I finally gave in because my self-esteem was taking a hit from the fat-shaming. Thanks Dr. Ray! Here's a hint...never badger a bulimic in recovery and former diet pill addict to go on some crazy liquid diet!! (And she knew my history) I lost 37 pounds thanks to not eating and the prescription diet pills that I told them I shouldn't be on but being in recovery I wasn't strong enough to say no! And Dr Ray refused to give me a hysterectomy because it would have been "cosmetic and optional" since my PCOS was "under control" with birth control pills. Yeah that's why for years I would still be getting month long, very heavy periods and doubled over crying in pain from the cramping!! I finally got the courage to switch to a different practice and on the 1st visit the new gynecologist was horrified at my "treatment"! I had a hysterectomy with both ovaries removed within a month! And the surgeons discovered I also had a large ovarian cyst (the one Dr Ray said was gone and she swore I shouldn't have gotten because of being on birth control pills) and Adenomyosis! The Adenomyosis' symptoms if you Google match perfectly to the misery I had been going through for years that any Gynecologist with half a brain and 2 eyes would have recognized immediately! Adenomyosis also causes infertility and can even cause hemmoraging if not treated! So Dr Ray my hysterectomy was not "cosmetic and optional" it was MEDICALLY NECESSARY AND LIFE SAVING!! And I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to no longer be in misery for an entire month every other month!!!! And after being with Dr Ray for 10 years, I'm actually a little bothered she didn't inquire why I chose a different provider. But that just proves how much she cared about me as a patient. Good riddance! Oh and Dr Ray if you're going to lecture, nag, hassle and hound a patient with an eating disorder to lose weight..,you should either be on the diet yourself or be 100 pounds lighter. And I'm saying that kindly not out of spite. And yes the receptionists are crabby and rude too like everyone has already said.

Are you kidding me? Reading some of these reviews makes me wonder if you are all a bunch of idiots. Dr. Ray is the BEST OB/GYN ever. She is kind, compassionate, and she takes the time to answer your questions. Her nursing staff is very nice too. You will get the voicemail when you call the nurse's line. But, if you leave a detailed message, they always call you back within a few hours. If it's urgent, let the front desk know. The front desk staff aren't going to be happy shiny all the time, but they get the job done. Never had a billing nightmare or had to scream at anyone. Dr. Ray is a great doctor. Don't listen to these other morons on here. She knows her stuff and her staff saved not only my baby's life, but also my own by catching pre-eclampsyia early.

Worst doctors experience EVER. Would not listen to me about current medical issue, insisted that I must have diabetes because of my weight. She clearly thought my primary care doctor, who I love and is awesome, was wrong and wouldn't let it go. Would never ever ever go to her again.

I agree with another comment on here that I like Dr Ray and the actual nurses but the front desk staff sucks! One is quiet and timid the scheduling lady is cold and short (meaning rude) I also agree that the phone system is the worst, I never get a call back either nor can I ever get anyone "live". If I wasn't about to deliver I wouldn't come here also because of the front desk staff. THEY ARE THE FIRST IMPRESSION OF THE PRACTICE! Dr Ray.......... please hear our complaints and do what you can. Thank you!

Dr Ray is incredibly smart, she listens, and she is open minded to alternative therapies. I have found her to be the best gyno I have ever gone to and would recommend her highly! I always have a brief wait in the office and the staff is always kind. The only problem is getting that first appointment. Since she is highly recommended she is quite busy, be patient, she is worth it!

Dr. Ray delivered my baby and fixed a botch job from my last delivery by another group. Usually get answer by phone same day and Dr. Ray calls me many times to follow-up. Would definitely recommend! It take sa little time for staff to get to know you, but are very nice once they do. Not everyone is perfect!

This office is extremely busy, so I always have to wait at least half an hour. I like Dr. Ray, but the office staff is HORRIBLE. They have an automated voicemail system and must never check their messages, because I am never called back within the 24 hour period promised, if at all. My prescriptions are never refilled, even though I give them more than their required 3 days notice. I will not go back to Comprehensive Women's Center because of the office staff. Sorry, Dr. Ray.

Dr Ray has very good bedside manner, and is very knowledgeable about higher risk pregnancies. She is very supportive of natural birth after csection, which is hard to find these days. All the doctors at comprehensive women's center are top notch, and I have been very happy with them. Dr Ray answers all my questions, and even calls me at home to follow up as baby delivery nears.
