I am leaving her practice. Although I think she is a wonderful woman and good doctor, her practice is simply too bloated. I very rarely get through on the phone the first try, and when I do get through, can expect to spend at least 15 minutes on hold. I completely gave up on ever asking questions about my family's medical care because no one ever returns calls. And, I agree with a previous poster about her PA being a presumptive jerk. I made an appointment for birth control and unfortunately, saw him. He started asking me questions about my general health and during the course of the exam it was revealed that I already have 4 children. He assumed the "real" reason for my visit was depression because, quote, he "would be depressed if he had 4 kids." The nerve! He told me to consider anti-depressants, and I never said a WORD about being depressed, and was NOT depressed at all! I was dumbfounded!

Once in a while there might be a minor glitch in communication, but otherwise, Dr. Dixon and staff are great. I don't think PA Woody Barry is arrogant or condescending at all; in fact, he has helped me more in the past couple of years than my previous doctor did in over 30. Woody's knowledge is amazing. Dr. Dixon is extremely nice, very personable. I'm so glad I left my former doctor's practice and came here. I leave each visit feeling that they really do care about me and my issues. They treat me with respect and dignity instead of blowing off my problems and trying to hand me an antidepressant like my previous doctor did. I'm very pleased and would recommend Dr. Dixon and her staff to anyone.

Dr. Dixon worked with me to get rid of a painful wart on my foot. She did a great job for me. Marion is lucky to have Dr. Dixon.

A wonderful doctor! But PA and NP (J & D) were insulting. Left a few years ago, sick of being treated stupid by PA & NP.

Dixon has been my dr for 16 years. Always overbooked, and not only rarely on time, but usually 1/2 hr-hour late. Today I have left her practice. REASON: Two months I've been having pain in my knee. Due to the slow response, I could have been dead by now, had it been cancer. FACTS: two months ago, made an appt for pain in knee. Dr on vacation Saw JoAnne from Davis' office. JoAnne assumed I was looking for pain meds, told me to take tylenol and had an x-ray. JoAnne was VERY unprofessional rude and short. X-ray came back ok? Ok. Two weeks pass, knee pops. Can't walk. Go to ER. ER orders an MRI. Order has to go through regular MD. They piddled around for three days, and then lied to me about making the appointment for MRI. On the third day, I called insurance myself and made it. Called the Dr. Said they just made it. Ins. confirmed the lie. Sent me to Oncologist. Then they dropped me. NOBODY CALLS YOU BACK EVER. YOU DO THEIR JOBS! Do't waste your money. Nothing changes.

I was a patient of Dr. Reddy since the beginning but left because of his arrogant PA, Woody who was constantly insulting my intelligence (I'm an RN), I transferred my care to Dr. Dixon's service. Sadly, Woody moved over to Dr. Dixon's service and continues to insult my intelligence. I was very happy with the rest of the staff, very polite and compassionate. I thought perhaps he would change his attitude (different co-workers and all) but unfortunately he still has that condescending attitude. That's the last thing one wants to deal with while not feeling well. For that reason, I will be leaving Dr. Dixon's care as he will probably do like he did with Dr. Reddy's service and insist on seeing the patient's who specify they would prefer being seen by anyone other than him. It makes one wonder why he has leaved Dr. Reddy's and bounced around like he did before? Again, the rest of the staff was wonderful.

Excellent service. Woody, her physicians assistant, has been in the medical field as a P.A. for over 30 yrs. He is absolutely excellent. Very thorough and down to earth. Very precise and provided me with information in detail about my condition that will save my life. Gave me guidelines on how to improve my condition and what to do to have a healthy lifestyle.

Yes it is hard to get in to see her and when you do, you have to wait a bit, but she is very caring and supportive. I take my whole family to her and if we ever have any needs, all we need to do is call and she takes care of it. She's like family to us.

The Dr isn't bad if you can ever see her. In order to see the Dr you must make an appt months and months in advance, otherwise you will see one of their PA's. I was less than impressed with their professionalism and courtesy.
