By the books I am a high risk pregnancy patient. I have had 1 live birth and 5 miscarriages. Prime insurance doesn't have any high risk OB'S so this is what I get...

Dr. Winkle is a salesman. He's quick and pitchy, forges a connection. I have had a few losses under his care but he is not to blame. He has always made me feel comfortable with our plan of action and the well-being of my pregnancies even though they haven't been successful. I trust his medical opinion. He and his staff could know more about the prime network and take off some stress in that area but I don't blame them...

Today I had a horrible experience. I went in for pregnancy #7, he saw me. It was perfect. He made me feel special when he said "it brightens my day to see you!" But really, I just lit a fire under his ass... he recommended blood work, I asked if I would have Stat results or follow up blood work in a few days. He said no and proceeded to give me attitude that if I wanted to "be bossy and demanding, and try to see him every 2 days it wasn't going to happen" I apologized for his misunderstanding and tried to brush it off but he kept on going, forcing me into tears that my case is "stressful and he's doing me a favor" and basically kicked me off of his services. I guess you see "5 failed pregnancies" and expect the patient to be needy, he must've forgotten that i have had a successful pregnancy in the past, without and medical intervention, and I'm open to the amount of attention that HE recommends for me, he's the doctor, not me... He's a good doctor but eventually some patients are not going to be worth it for him... But today, what an asshole!

Dr. Winkle really made me feel relaxed and was a great OB doctor. I always felt like he was looking out for me and my baby. He has a lot of confidence. He also makes things easy to understand. He got me a perfect baby girl!!!! He is a great doctor! He also speaks Spanish very well and my family really appreciated that.

Dr was nice when you actually saw him. Staff was nice but horrible at their jobs. Had to leave their office at 7 months pregnant due to Garden Grove hospital not accepting Blue Shield. This should have been caught when they sent me to get an ultrasound at a location that also didn't accept my insurance. Very stressful pregnancy due to this office.

I went to Dr. Winkle when I was pregnant my first time in 2009. I had a miscarriage and Dr. Winkle was helpful. I got pregnant again, about 3 months later. Dr. Winkle sent me to UCI for high risk pregnancies. It started there because the communication between his staff and UCI's was poor, and I was treated as if they were just trying to get rid of me. I miscarried again and went back to Dr. Winkle for a final check-up and he was insensitive, acted as if I was wasting his time. He started to get angry when I was trying to explain about the communication. Knowing this was my 2nd miscarriage, he still remained insensitive. He basically told me that it was a "courtesy" that he's seeing me. Dr. Winkle is knowledgeable, but very insensitive. He only cares to get you in and out and his smile is not very sincere. Everything that I have said is 100% true.

Wait time on average is 1 hour. On one visit, after spending an hour in the waiting room, I asked about wait time and was told it would be another hour and there is no public bathroom. The doctor does not like to answer questions or spend much time with his patients
