Dr Gansaeuer saw our son years ago. He was very polite--but don't be late or he will tell you about it. I've never seen such a punctual doctor, which was a pleasure. Despite many tests, he could not diagnose our son. He said that in 20 years we would probably know what was wrong, but available knowledge didn't explain his symptoms. He also told us that many doctors would tell us that this was a psychological problem, but it was obviously not. We were disappointed and dejected at the time, but have come to highly value his honest advice, and he helped us to stand up to multiple doctors who informed us that it was "all in his head." We eventually had to go to 2 psychiatrists to prove our son's emotional soundness, and both agreed with Dr Gansaeuer. We have since seen 2 more neurologists, and they also could not diagnose the illness. It looks as though our son has deep seated chronic Lyme--a condition that Dr G tested for, but the tests themselves are dismally inaccurate.

This is a mean doctor and his staff is mean as well. I started to have a bad reaction to a medication that he prescribed. I called his office because the symptoms were getting serious. His staff was rude and mean and said he refused to do anything unless I came in to see him. That would have been fine except he couldn't see me for a week and he refused to even speak to me. It was a complete nightmare. Thank God my GP took me in immediately and changed the medication. I could tell that my GP was embarrassed by Dr. Gansaeuer unprofessional behavior. We found a better neurologist and I have been happy with the new one ever since. If you value your life, do not see Dr. Gansaeuer.

Dr.Gansaeuer is extremely knowlegeable, highly intelligent and has a keen understanding of his field. I found him to be cheerful and ready to conduct a thorough investigation into the causes of the problem. He identified very quickly factors which had been overlooked in the past. Highly recommended!
