I researched quite a bit of Dermatologist in LA Dr. Moy seem to come up every time for skin cancer doctors. He seems to be the most well trained for this. After my initial consultation with him in his Encino office I understood why. I opted to go with Dr. Moy for my skin cancer on my nose. He seen me pretty quick ebem though his waiting room was full. He explained my cacer in detailed and I felt more at ease on how treatable and common this really is. I am pleased with my hardly noticible scar. Strongly recomend this doctor if you are in need of a skin cancer doctor.

Dr Moy and his staff were very helpful in getting me started on a new skin care regimen. I especially love the DNA cleanser.

He did the MOHS surgery on my nose. It looks great and healed well. The staff was so nice. The office can get busy but the wait is WELL worth it. He also makes it very easy to get in touch with him PERSONALLY if you have any questions or concerns. I refer all my friends and family to Dr. Moy

Had a basal cell carcinoma on my lower eyelid and din't trust any of the Kaiser Permanente doctors to treat it. I was ok paying out of pocket for the best cosmetic outcome and treatment of for surgery. I asked around and Dr. Moy came very highly recommended, and after having it removed under his care, I can see why. Its interesting to read the other comments here, since my experience was completely positive. I would recommend Dr. Moy to anyone. Also, since I paid out of pocket the office worked with me and charged me medicare rates which is discounted.

Very good surgeon and doctor. He came highly recommended by my regular dermatologist. I felt like he would be the one I'd go to for any future Mohs.

I checked out all the Mohs surgeons in West Los Angeles and was impressed by his credentials. That was my first mistake. As other patients have stated, he is more interested in moving you along. Not only did Dr. Moy say that Medicare does not pay for cosmetic surgery but he charged me $250 dollars to perform the closing of the hole from Mohs surgery. Not only did he charge me the money but the closing is part of Mohs surgery and should not be charged. But worse was the surgery he performed which left a scar of dead tissue. I had another basel cell carcinoma taken care of by another Mohs surgeon that was so beautiful you can't tell where it was done. He is also going to try and fix Moy's scar tissue. Add to this that he moved his office to the Rodeo Collection on one of the higest end shopping streets in the world. I guess his patients can shop at Prada or Gucci which is next door. Botox city...He is a Mohs surgeon that you should pass up and not suffer as other patients.

very disappointing. I thought he was in a hurry so he could just get to the another patient. in the middle of the sugery he let a fellow/training person cut on me without my knowledge. had to wait along time in the waiting room.

Dr. Moy is recognized as an expert in his field, which is why I traveled a great distance to see him. He removed a very small BCC from my forehead, but it left a very bad white scar. I have had two other BCC's on my face and they were removed by other doctors. Neither of these MOHS surgeries resulted in such visible scarring.
