I have been a patient of Dr. Shukla's for years. I do not understand the negative reviews. I find him compassionate and caring. Not only is he helping me deal with my physical problems, he is helping me cope with the emotional aspects. He knows just by looking at me how I am actually feeling emotionally. I would highly recommend him. He takes the time to listen and does whatever he can to try and alleviate your fears.

Not likely to recommend. The office staff is beyond horrendous. They never call back, mess up the paper work and in general treat patients badly. They act as if you are bothering them when contacted.
Save you’re self the misery and find another doctor. You are already sick and don’t need more pain in your life.
The doctor itself is good but that does not help with bad front office and bad management, the doctor must be aware of this and chooses to ignore it otherwise he needs to do a better job of providing better service.

I have a Neuro-Muscular disease (MG) that Dr. Shukla worked with me for over 10 years. He is compassionate, sensitive, and listens to your concerns. He shares his expertise with you and will lead you to another Dr. if he feels the need. I do and have recommend him to those in the SW area when asked for a reliable and trusting Neurologist.
His staff is wonderful, friendly and caring as well.

I have to think that the positive reviews here must be shills, because this the worst doctor I have encountered. Arrogant, dismissive, and then hypersensitive when you appear not to like what he is saying. Also, I don't go to a neurologist for spiritual advice along the lines of, "Don't worry-- when it is your time to die, it is your time." Stay away!!!!

The WORST doctor iI have EVER been to in my life. It is my opinion that he should find another profession. His arrogant, rude, and belittling it was more than I have ever experienced from anybody much less a doctor. If you want a doctor who will threatens, traumatizes and make you feel worse than when you went in then this is the doctor for you. But if you want someone who really cares, has good bedside manners and probably knows what he is talking about then stay away from this guy, a total jerk!

Not very helpful. Lab went out of business he sent to and would not find another. First time ever to have to quit a Dr. and find another. Arrogant and condescending.

I've been going to Dr. Shukla for over 4 years, after a not-so-great experience w/another Sugar Land neuro. I have a degenerative neuromuscular disease w/no cure. From the time of initial diagnosis all the way thru watching this disease take it's toll, I have always felt that Dr. Shukla is in my corner. He always tells me straight and doesn't sugar-coat anything, which I appreciate. I've had related problems, and his referrals were always to top people, no lightweights. He's very thorough, experienced and knowledgeable, and his style is very warm & caring. I've had the nerve tests, they are necessary to diagnose the disease. He discusses tests & course of treatment with me in detail, gives me candid feedback and discusses prognosis in detail. I've never felt rushed or hurried, and his warm and friendly manner always puts me at ease. He's a terrific doctor.

This is a horrible doctor. He should not be practicing medicine. He is rude and rough. He is a real jerk. He lacks empathy. I have never been so humiliated and belittled in my life. He misdiagnosed me. He insisted on having me go through unnecessary tests that was not meant for my condition.I was tortured literally by someone shocking me who did not know what they are doing.I eneded with a huge bill. His staff is rude like him.He has people working in his office and doing tests ( ultrasound and EEG and torture test called EMG ) who do not know what they are doing.I cannot believe they allow him to do this to people.Protect yourself and do not go there.BAD DOCTOR...............
