Unfortunately I got played by this doctor again. She tells you that she will take care of you and not charge you if you come back to retouch her work. But sadly, this is not true! She will come up with some other lie to try to get your $$$. She uses her naive personality to fool you and throw some other work that you need, to make it seen that she is actually doing you a favor. Do not fall for this. I don't think she is honest with her clients before getting services done. People don't deserve to get mislead like that.

I think Dr. wiczer gets a bad rap. I have come back to her, somewhat based on bad reviews! She was right about everything she said. I do grind my teeth, and ended up cracking a tooth which then needed a root canal. The dentist who did my root canal said "I think you grind your teeth." So when my plan changed, I had myself re-assigned to her office. She remembered me, did a great crown for me, and welcomed me back! She also made me a nightguard which I will wear forever. Thank you, Dr. Wiczer.

This dentist is the worst dentist I ever saw, and I have since had almost all of her work replaced. She ill-fit a 5 tooth crown (put the adhesive in it and shoved it in my mouth before seeing if it fit properly, etc) and then , after 3 months ( thinking it would "settle " had to drill the entire bridge off and start from scratch. In the meantime, she had kept a broken " temporary bridge " , which she stuck back in my mouth until the new bridge was made. The new bridge chipped after only a few months, so I sorta hid my smile for the next 5 years until my insurance would help me pay for a replacement. In those 5 years, one tooth decayed so much it couldn't be saved ( the replacement was also ill fitting) and had to be pulled, resulting in several thousands of unnecessary work that would have been avoided if she had done her job properly.
On another note, she 'lol hurt you when she gives you novicane. No prep, just a mean jab. I really can't say anything good about this woman and, at the time, wished I had sued her. Oh, one more thing. Her staff are clever. They charge you for things insurance companies (mine at least) say you should not be charged for.

I went see Dr. Wiczer off of a recommendation from a friend when I established myself in the Bethesda area. I live nowhere near this office, but it is easy to get an appointment. I have been impressed with the dental care and technology as well as the great personalities of everyone who works here.

Dr. Wiczer has been my dentist for many years and has always taken very good care of me and my family. My kids love her, my teeth would be in really bad shape without her.

Doctor Wiczer recommended nightguard. Staff declined to bill my insurance, which covers 50% of cost. Called insurance: they told me night guards were covered under billing code 9940. Called staff: they told me 9940 covers only softguards. Called insurance: they said it covers ALL guards. Pressed staff for code, as all procedures must have a code; they now said 7899. Called insurance: They said 7899 refers to "tubular mandibular joint syndrome" procedure. Confronted staff on false code and was told "I am not a dentist and don't know what I'm talking about." Evasive, changed story repeatedly. Why do they lie about coding and refuse to bill insurance? Very odd - would this permit them to pass undeclared income? Also, Dr. Wiczer routinely performs services without advising of cost upfront. I also noticed that the dozen or so single star ratings for her on Yelp vanished and were replaced by 5-star ratings, and that she is "under review" by anthoer medical site for possible shill reviews"

I have been seeing Dr. Wiczer since July 2011. All of my experiences with her and her staff have been handled in a very professional manner. I have had alot of problems with previous dentists, but starting over with Dr. Wiczer made all of the bad experiences in the past forgotten. I would recommend her highly to anyone that needs a knowledgable, careful, and caring dentist. I have had major work done, including crowns, and a bridge, with no issues at all. If you are a scared patient, or someone who has not seen a dentist in a while, I would recommend her highly.

I was told I needed to redo two fillings: one on my bottom right molar, and one on my top left molar. An hour after, when the Novocaine wore off, I noticed a pain in my bottom right molar only when I chewed on that side. The Doctor said to come back in for an adjustment. I came back in the next day, and it still hurt! Dissatisfied, I went to another doctor to get a second opinion. He re-did the filling which still didn't resolve the problem! For weeks I had to chew on one side of my mouth until we could figure out the problem. IN THE END I HAD TO HAVE A ROOT CANAL!!!! I'M FRUSTRATED THAT I EVEN HAD THIS PAIN IN THE FIRST PLACE WHEN MY TEETH FELT PERFECTLY FINE BEFORE THE PROCEDURE!!! ********* It does seem that there may be an issue of malpractice here. Simply posting a bad review is not going to resolve any issues. If you feel passionate enough I will be willing to take the proper legal action. Thank goodness I found Dr. Wiczer. I had dental problems that several dentists coould not resolve. Dr Wiczer completed a very professional exam, game her conclusions and recommendations and we implemented the plan. I was very suprised to read reviews in this blog regarding root canals by Dr. Wiczer. I needed 2 and she recommended me to specialist becasue she told me she does not perform them. In an event, the recommended Doc performed the root canals, and I returned to Dr Wiczer for an excellent job on the crowns and adjustments in my bite. She even recomended a fantastic new mouth-piece that completely eliminated my snoring. My wife said it's Divine intervention and now she sleeps extremely well. What shocked me is Dr Wiczer's wonderful service. I called her office on a weekend to leave a message and got a tel number that I assumed was a service. Imagine my amazement when I called and Dr Wiczer she answered her home phone. Dr Wiczer is now the lifetime dentist for my family and me.
