I had the worst birth giving experience with Dr Petrake. She made sure I didn’t get epidural so that I can feel everything and deliver the baby fast so that she can go home. In addition of that she was very rude during the process with the way she was talking to me. She didn’t take my pain seriously and that was very inhuman from her. She as well didn’t perform episiotomy as I asked her before the delivery. So I got a tear and was being needle stabbed during the stitching. The whole process was such a traumatic experience and my son had even a broken collar bone during the delivery. I don’t recommend her at all. I home Karma will catch up on you Dr Petraske.

I have been going to Dr. Petraske for many years now, since I moved from California. I have nothing but the best things to say about her and the office staff. Being a physician, I know what to expect for routine GYN care and I get it all from her, with her experience, intelligence, compassion and clinical acumen. She also took care of my daughter when she had acute pelvic pain, saw her immediately, sent her to the hospital and even contacted another GYN MD who she thought would be better suited to deal with the problem than herself, and the outcome was wonderful. I recommend her, without hesitation to all my patients who ask me for a GYN recommendation. The staff has always been very courteous and helpful and go out of their way to make the experience a comfortable one.

I had a complicated delivery but Dr. Petraske was amazing at making me feel comfortable. I was seeing another doctor previously and I was very lucky that Dr. Petraske was the one around when I was giving birth. I’m not a big fan of the Plainsboro Hospital but if I were to have another kid, I would still go to the hospital in Plainsboro so I could have Dr. Petraske again.

I'm not sure why some of the patients gave a bad review but Dr. Petraske is the most knowledgeable, friendly and cooperative doctors I have met. These bad reviews made me avoid her early in my pregnancy. But, I had 2 kids in 2 years and she eased me into it. My son, during delivery, was "sunny side up" and she realized it in time. She rolled me hard before asking me to push and saved me from having to use forceps or a vacuum cap. She realized that I had a piece a my placenta left within and she dugit out till she was completely satisfied. I have changed my contraceptive three times before I got the best rates from my provider and once she didn't even charge me for a visit since the insurance wasn't paying for it. I've moved out of the Princeton area but I still visit her for my annual cause I'm so sure that she knows me the best. I'm not judging the other patients' response but I would definitely recommend her!

I was very unhappy with the care (or lack thereof) that I received, which is why I transferred to another OBGYN midway through my 2nd pregnancy. I do not blame her or her colleagues for my firstborn's premature birth, but when they didn't show any different approach to my 2nd pregnancy given my history, I got very upset. It was I who had to push them to refer to me to a high risk group for additional care (who by the way thought I should have been referred right away, given my history). The worst part was how she made me feel like I was being paranoid and dramatic about any symptoms I mentioned, like my concerns were invalid. Guess what... I ended up having to be on bedrest for 3 months for the 2nd pregnancy because of premature contractions and shortening cervix. Thank God I went with someone else who listened to me and didn't disregard my concerns!!!

Doctor did not diagnose endometriosis- one of the basic reasons women suffer in pain and bleed heavily. VERY disappointed in my experience here.

Dr. petraske is fabulous! I recommend all my family and friends to her because she is THAT good. She is the perfect mix of smart, experienced, and accomplished complete with the warm and fuzzy factor. Dr. Petraske delivered my first baby 5 weeks premature via emergency c-section. I felt safe and comforted the minute she walked into the room and felt like I had been seeing her my entire life. My c-section was a breeze, my recovery perfect and my scar is barely there. She followed up with me as if she was my own family member. My baby was delivered safe, sound and healthy. I have been going to her ever since and she is truly AMAZING. She delivered my second baby via c-section as well. Love her.

Dr. Petraske is a wonderful person and the best OBGYN you could wish for. She's been my doctor for 5 years now and delivered my son. She is very professional and knowledgeable, and has excellent bedside manners. She's also very personable and empathetic.

I had the world's most horrible situations with several pregnancies. Dr. Petraske gave me difficult results compassionately and stood by me every step of the way. Eventually, she delivered my two children on my terms. I am grateful for having her in my life.
