This doctor may be more likely to prescribe extra pain medications to younger women. Also, he wasn't very patient or thorough in his explanations. He recommended surgery, which I had (and he performed); since then, I've had a second opinion that I probably didn't need surgery. I switched doctors, and I don't recommend him.
