I usually don't write reviews, but I've had such a positive experience with Dr. Auerbach over the years that I wanted to share. I've been seeing him for almost 6 years as I have IBD. It's rare to find a doctor who takes the time to listen and is so caring. I'm at great ease when Dr. A performs my colonoscopies. Even though I moved over an hour away, I still return to Dr. A.

I gave him 2 chances to make up for the first botched colonoscopy. He is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. I have a family history of stomach cancer, so I needed to find someone I could count on over the years. I went for an endoscopy, he found some bleeding on my intestine walls. We sat in his office and he couldn't find any reason for it. Put me on Prevecid, just a stomach acid reducer, though my blood tests for my stomach showed normal levels of acid and sent me on my way. I went back to my Primary Doc who said never go back to him. I went to another stomach doctor who found tumors, removed them and I was alright at the time. So if you don't get what I'm telling you, DO NOT see this supposed doctor. His kindness pulls you in. I'm not one for bad mouthing anyone. But he should not have a license to practice. He is by far the most clueless specialist I've ever been to and have met people who had bad things to say too. Pick any other doctor, especially if you want to live.

I had the same thing happen as the last review. My 1st visit seemed good. He started me on 2 new Rx to help replace high amounts of Predisone I've been taking for 25 yrs and causing damage. 2 months later I waited a week for an appointment given. After 2 hrs in the large waiting room and another 1 hr in a small waiting cubical (3hrs waiting room total) a nurse said without even looking at me, "he doesn't want to see you" and handed me a card with the last names of 3 Drs on the back. Nothing more. No reason given. He had no concern how the 2 Rx he put my on was working. He had no concern if I needed any prescriptions while now looking for a Dr with no warning. No concern how much pain I had on that same day. I had to make a special trip back the next day to get my check back that I was made to prepay. Then I had to make a 2nd special trip back to pick up my records that were not as complete as they had and I ask for. That slowed my treatment with my new GI Dr. Stay away!

One of the nicest guys you could meet. Gave him a shot at fixing a major problem I had 9 years ago. After both scopings, he found bleeding in my stomach, put my on prevacid and could come up with a reason I was bleeding and constipated. Told me to eat fiber and sent me on my way. In the meantime he knew my dad had just died of stomach cancer [blockage]. Seven years has passed, I've lived less than a good life with constant stomach pain with severe constipation. So rather go to another doctor, I decide to "give him another shot at making the first disaster right". He did a colonoscopy/biopsy. He knew my upper digestive tract was swollen, and as I awoke in recovery he stopped by to tell me "eat lots of fiber and see my in two years, you know you have family history". So shame on you the first time, shame on me this time. While he is the nicest guy, other doctors off the record told me, unless the problem is "obvious", he can't and will not chance to fix what he's not good at. Your Move...

Gentle, nice and I didn't feel a thing. Would recommend him to everyone. Didn't wait any longer than 10 minutes on all my visits. One of the best.
