My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Bell for many years. I have found her to be a very caring doctor. She takes her time, let's me explain any issues I may have. And then takes the time to explain any treatments needed. Nothing but very good experiences.

This rating is really for Dr, Bell. I have been a patient of Family Spectrum for nearly 12 years. Never have had a problem in the past. Today that changed, profoundly.

Two weeks ago I dinged my finger. Seriously believed it to be minor. That coupled with a very serious discomfort of any medical office factored into my ignoring the ding, as I still had full use, and no pain. Last two days less mobile, more pain, so yesterday I called for an appointment. Dr. Bell had an opening for today.

When Bell walked into the treatment room, she began berating me for not having been seen earlier. It was hostile, and absolutely had nothing to do with treatment. Being berated and humiliated is not what I expect from a doctor. Her demeanor and hostility towards me for my aparent stupidity in not knowing the ding was much worse than I thought left me fuming, and doing everything in my power to not tell her to go **** herself. Even now, several hours later, it is still replaying in my head on a constant loop.

So I called my insurance, wanting to change my primary care provider immediately. Unfortunately, nothing open anywhere near me. Regardless, I can honestly say that I will NEVER go back. If emergency, I will go to an ER, and refuse any follow up treatment from Bell. And if just a dinged finger (which needs surgery, it turns out), I will just suck it up and deal with it.

I will never, ever again be put into a position of being berated and faced with open hostility from any medical person again. Bell may be a doctor, but she is not a medical professional.

I saw Dr Bell and had the worst medical experience of my life. My son was in Peru and needed help so I flew down without taking any anti-malaria drugs as a precaution. I woke up one morning about 17 days after my trip with a terribly high temperature and chills. I knew I was very sick and might have malaria. My regular doctor in the same practice was unavailable so I was sent to Dr. Bell. Being of good health, this was my first visit to the practice for an illness in 8 years. Upon seeing this doctor, I informed her of my recent trip and presented with symptoms resembling malaria. She doubted that I had malaria and pronounced that I had dengue fever. I insisted that I may have malaria and requested a test so she obliged. However, she performed a standard venipuncture instead of taking a blood sample from my fingertips as I later found out was the correct way to test for malaria. She called and informed me that the results for malaria were negative. After three days of increasing illness consisting of fever, chills and sweats, I got an appt with an infectious disease specialist. He promptly ordered the correct blood test and within a very short time I had the correct diagnosis...malaria! I was immediately treated and recovered.

Then I received the bill for the office visit which included the unnecessary and incorrect venipuncture blood sample. I wrote a letter stating my reasons for refusing to pay for the test. Instead of apologizing, I received a letter stating that I was terminated as a patient from the practice!!!

This is the absolute worst Doctor I have ever dealt with. All of my major medical issues were dealt with by other medical professionals . Avoid this Doctor and the entire practice to save angst and your sanity.

I made an appointment for a physical exam and was told that there was only one appt time available for the next several weeks. After taking off work, I was surprised to discover that my appointment was nothing more than filling out forms and "introducing" myself to dr. Bell. She was rude, preachy, and didnt bother looking at my forms! Then she told me I'd have to schedule a separate visit for the actual physical exam!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! Worst doctor experience I've had

WHY ARE YOU IN THIS PRACTICE? It's SO obvious that you hate your job, hate your patients, and don't have one bit of empathy or desire to help people (which is what your job is for)! I mean, you don't even try to hide the fact that you are in a rush because you have better things to do and think you're superior. Drs are supposed to sit down and listen to their patients and communicate with them but all you do is rush in after hours of waiting, talk rudely and condescending-like, and disregard everything your patients say so that you can get it over with and get your $.. Not to mention the fact that you seem to almost not believe symptoms that people tell you they have, like you somehow know more about their body then they do (yet you can't even make the SIMPLEST of diagnosises?) If you were rude, uninterested, unsympathetic, + unprofessional but the best doctor on earth you might stay in business, but the lack of knowledge I saw was ridiculously sad... an embarrassment to Drs everywhere

I went to see Dr. Bell about a serious weight issue and she told me I'm just like the rest of the world - tired and wanting to lose weight. this is not the type of response you're looking for when you KNOW something is wrong. i will not be going back there again.

This was probably the worst doctor's visit I have ever had. I do not look for perfection in a doctor...I can even put up with a bad bedside manner if the doctor is overall helpful and knowledgeable. Dr. Bell was extremely rude, cold, impatient and disinterested. Truthfully, I have no idea what her level of expertise is because she refused to answer the few questions I had and did the most incomplete physical I have ever heard of. I can't think of a single positive thing to say about her.

Dr. Bell appeared friendly and chatty at first, but tended to be condescending and dismissive when I expressed symptoms and concerns. Her insistence on having a first visit devoted exclusively to getting me established in her office is ridiculous and waste of time/copay. She seemed annoyed when my questions didn't corroborate her sometimes rushed diagnosis. Overall she is not easy to talk to as a doctor and I had an unpleasant feeling each time after leaving her office.
