I went for my knee, which i was told by my primary that my knee cap was off to the side instead of where it should be. I was refered to this doctor and he didnt even know why I was there for and just gave me a random diagnois. It was quite obvious that he didnt even look at the records my primary sent to him. My boyfriend told me that he seems like an ok doctor so I set aside my gut feeling about him. the next visit he sent me to do an x-ray because i decided to talk to him about the lower back pain that I have been having for years. When I went back he said nothing about the results of the x-ray. I didnt ask because I sometimes have a hard time remembering things especially when under stress. At this visit I had informed him that I had pre-uterine cancer and just stood there lecturing me about my weight and was very insentsitive. I also have depression and anxiety and I'm being treated for it as well. I've never had a doctor uncaring as this doctor. After that visit I went back again and decided to check the reviews on this doctor and even found out that this doctor had a suspension and a probation in the past. I saw many complaints of misdiagnoising people and not looking at x-rays, MRIs, or medical history records. When I saw the doctor Is
said nothing to him only answered when he asked about my back pain (oh every visit u have circle where there is pain and its level of pain from present pain to lowest and highest pain within the past 24hrs), which he probably wouldnt have even mention if it was for that pain sheet I did before the appointment. Then he started lecturing me again about my blood sugar. Acted doubtful about me doing the exercises he asked me to do. I mentally can not deal with this doctor anymore. I dont need a doctor that gonna sit there and not pay attention to why I there to begin with. I will be talking to my primary soon to get a new refferal to a new ortho hopefully. I would definately not recommend this doctor.

I found my experience with Dr. Kayvanfar to be very helpful. I went in with a sports related knee injury and Dr. Kayvanfar gave me a detailed explanation of what my injury was and that the root of my problem may not have been this one event, but a weakening of my joints over time that allowed the injury to occur. Rather than recommending surgery as other physicians had done (chasing the $$), Dr. Kayvanfar treated me by prescribing physical therapy and a healthier diet. I am happy to report that my knee feels stronger than ever and that I have not had an injury since my last nearly a year ago.

The Dr is amazing, caring and compasionate, he told me what was wrong with my knees since the first visit, and offer me a definitive treatment, I couldn't be happier, the staff is really helpful and efficient, the office manager goes out of her way to solve any problems that I had.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! The doctor does NOT listen to your concerns and in my opinion, misdiagnoses you. I waited two hours to be seen, once I checked in. The receptionists seem like really nasty individuals and one of the scorned me for cancelling my second appointment (do you blame me). I do not trust this place and found another orthopedic doctor that I can trust. This facility also incorporates a physical therapy practice, located in the same area. I was told to do physical therapy (which I have done in the past with another doctor, but to no avail). It is my opinion that this places recommends physical therapy for everyone, in order to get more money from the insurance carriers. STAY AWAY! They are not about helping you recover, but milking the system!

This guy was more focused on Prop 37 than he was on my knee. I went in to find out about a knee replacement and instead got a lecture on the prop 37 and voting and was told my pain would go away if i stopped smoking. Then a lecture about smoking started. Try a different doctor.

The office staff is unprofessional. Phone manners are atrochious. THE DOCTOR has put me on two different meds, Sulindac and Methotrexate and they both were terrible for me! Sulindac gave me serious stomach pain and I had to go to urgent care and get a shot! Methotrexate is a strong drug and combined with the Naproxen and Norco he gave me, is very dangerous and it made me sick, dizzy and nauseous!

I highly recommend Dr Kayvanfar. I had horrible pain in both of my hands from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and tendinitis. The pain was very limiting in my life. After treatment I am pain free and my hands and fingers are like they were before the I developed the condition. Dr. Kayvanfar is an excellent doctor.
