I went to see Dr. Davessar for persistent heartburn, nausea, and bloating. He did a EGD and diagnosed me with gastritis and prescribed me protonix twice a day. After telling him my symptoms still persisted even after taking additional over the counter medications he wanted me to decrease my medication. I did so, thinking maybe he knows something I don't. I was miserable, crying, could not eat for days. I called his office and spoke with them and he called back and was completely RUDE and disrespectful! He told me "that if I was still feeling nauseous than something else was wrong!"...obviously! Rather than trying to perform more tests or refer me to someone else he completely stopped refilling my prescriptions. I was without my heartburn medication and my nausea medication that I had to ask my OBGYN to refill it. It was a really slap in the face when I got hit with the bill from his office. I don't expect physicians to know everything, but refer, and have some compassion.

He was in hurry, & had bad bedside manner! He wants you in his office as many times as he can, to exploit your money & your insurance. He will say I need to re-evaluate your situation! Well in my case he wanted me to see him again to re- evaluate what he never evaluated in the first place! I am a very upset patient!

I wasn't in with the doctor very long. He wasn't able to help me with the problem I was having. But I was charged a lot for the simple visit. I will not be going back to this office.

This doctor was a very poor communicator to me and he expected me to read his mind to learn about my new communication. He will also say you have a serious condition but not explain why it is serious or what could happen. He didn't educate me on my illness.

Dr Davessar is very professional yet down to earth. Very bright, knowledgable, and conscientious. My husband and I have been going to him for years and are lucky to have him as our gastroenterologist!
