Awful. He does the most aggressive thyroid checks & I actually felt like I was going to faint/ or he was going to do damage. If you tell him your symptoms, he says that it’s all in your head. Honestly, a horrible doctor.

My family's experience with not only the staff but the doctor himself has left them with a bad taste. The office staff is poorly handled and unprofessional when it comes to helping a patient with simple requests. They say they'll do something and days later still not done. Forget calling the office, it is a miracle if someone were to answer and actually be helpful. Last but not least, the doctor himself has a cold demeanor. We get that this is nothing to them but when it comes to your health and life, he handles it poorly by allowing you to leave with unanswered questions. Oh and not to mention he also tells you that you have cancer and it's that it's bad over the phone. How does a professional doctor do that? Needless to say, we have advised other patients to cancel their upcoming appointments and seek medical help elsewhere.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. He gave me neck trauma with his hands on my neck and thyroid and I've never been right since. He made me swallow 30 times and pressed really aggressively on my neck and thyroid - I've had a bump/lump on my neck ever since and I've had nothing but problems. I've been to emergency because of this with neck pain and breathing issues and the Emergency Room doctor asked who the doctor was and I told her, and she said you are the second one this week that has mentioned this doctor to me. He doesn't want to hear that he has done wrong. My regular endocrinologist was on maternity leave and I mistakenly went to Chen - WHAT A MISTAKE AND A MESS! He will not admit that he did anything wrong. He obviously hit a nerve because of his aggressiveness and I'm having trouble ever since. Even the woman that gave me an ultrasound, said that Chen palpates aggressively hard. DON'T GO TO THIS MAN!

Excellent doctor, very thorough and excellent knowledge. Will refer you to the best doctors if you need additional care/surgery (thyroid cancer/recurrent thyroid cancer). The best, Dr. Chen is on top of his game.

I have been a patient of Dr. Chen for a few years. And I have never had a problem. I have no complaint at all. Dr. Chen answered all my questions and explained all procedures. I went to him for radiation treatment after I was diagnosed. And also, after I had my thyroid, some lymph nodes and some muscle all removed/dissected. Dr. Chen is thorough and compassionate and has a good sense of humor! I would refer anyone to him.

I have been seeing Dr. Chen ever since my diagnosis of thyroid cancer in 2002. He is amazing. I had a funky, aggressive variant of thyroid cancer. He put me at ease immediately. He told me when I need ablation (two times). He has been my endo since 2002 and I trust his knowledge and skills. His office staff (Trish) has been there since the beginning. She is wonderful. I love everything about their office.

Dr. Chen is an expert on thyroid diseases. I have been a patient of his since 2009 and have no reservation with his treatement of my hypothyroidism.
