Biography
Gregory R. Keese, M.D. is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopedic hand surgeon. Dr. Keese completed his undergraduate degree at Claremont McKenna College in Southern California where he played soccer and was elected to the academic/athletic "Hall of Fame" in 1995. During his collegiate years, he also competed in soccer internationally at the University of Nottingham in England. Upon graduating from Georgetown University Medical School in the top 15% of his class, Dr. Keese completed a 5 year orthopedic surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center where he received the distinguished "Leonard Marmor Surgical Arthritis Foundation Award" for excellence in orthopedic surgery. Subsequent to residency, Dr. Keese completed a fellowship in hand and elbow surgery at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) where he perfected advanced techniques in arthroscopic wrist and elbow surgery, microsurgery, ligament and cartilage preservation, and reconstruction of the hand, wrist and elbow. During fellowship, Dr. Keese gained further expertise in pediatric hand surgery at the Northern California Shriners Hospital, while also serving as the hand surgeon for the University of California Berkeley sports teams. Dr. Keese then returned home to treat patients in the Los Angeles area for 5 years before relocating to Coeur d'Alene, ID in 2012. Outside of medicine, Dr. Keese enjoys skiing, surfing, swimming and spending time with his wife and kids.

Dr. Keese was exceptional. My mother who is 97 was treated with utmost respect and skill. Dr. Keese took time before and after surgery to answer all of our questions and gave us full confidence She was walking within hours‼️ We ugly recommend.
