Love Dr. Blackburn!!! She is fantastic. Visits are quick and I am not kept waiting for long period s of time. I have never had an issue with the office staff - they have always been friendly during my visits. However, you must schedule your appt in advance (4-5 weeks) to actually meet with the doctor. If urgent, nurse practitioners usually have appts available.

Doctor is excellent. However, her staff is incredibly rude and difficult to work with. I was hung up on by the office manager after voicing a concern. Absolutely appalling.
After being a patient of Dr. Blackburn's for 4+ years, I can no longer see her due to the appallingly rude behavior of her staff members, Sharon and JoAnn.

I have read the reviews and have not had a problem whatsoever with the staff. Hmmm. Dr Blackburn is great! She and I get along really well....she has seen me in tears, my sense of humor and my friendliness and she understands and responds appropriately. Love you, Lady. The only complaint I have is the time that 'any' Doctor spends with you in this office. It's like they allot specific time frame per illness. I guess I can understand that but if I have ?'s about 'anything' while I am there, I ought to be able to ask and have the doctor answer me without me feeling rushed. I love the doc's in this office and have no trouble with the staff.

Dr. Blackburn is great: personable, knowledgeable, and just an overall "cool" person. However, the staff makes it impossible for me to continue seeing her. I have felt "medically abandoned" (forgive the dramatic quote) on more than one occasion. Both times I found myself in the ER due to lack of follow-up or contact from this office. I requested a referral for an urgent problem and am still waiting for that...it's been months. More recently requested a referral for a routine issue, and it's been weeks with no word. Some of the staff appear unhappy there, which doesn't instill any trust that patient care is their priority. I am so sorry to have to leave Dr. Blackburn's care, but my overall health has to be the priority.

I wish I actually had the opportunity to meet with a doctor in this office because my mom is a patient here and had a lot of good things to say. Unfortunately, because of the receptionist, I will never step foot in this office. She was so incredibly rude and not at all sensitive to the situation or helpful. So much attitude, I couldn't even have a conversation with her.

I love Dr. Blackburn. I have been seeing her for over 20 years but recently, I haven't had any luck to really be able to see her in person but agreed to see the nurse practitioner. I have never felt treated with so much rudeness by a staff member who was working on the afternoon of Friday, September 12th around 4:40pm. I explained to her that I tried calling to let them know I was stuck in traffic and enroute but the answering machine came on exactly at 4:30 and I couldn't get a hold of live staff member. When I arrived at the office, the front desk person was unforgiving and I explained to her what happened and she was still unrelenting and insisted I go to Urgent Care across the street. I paid extra $35 copay because I was refused at Dr. Blackburn's office. It was heartbreaking. I called back on Tuesday to see if I can see Dr. Blackburn or if there were any cancellations. I needed my primary care to check since I was having side effects from the medication prescribed to me by the Urgent Care clinician. Judy, a pleasant lady (not the one with the rude and short attitude) listened to me and tried to get me to an opening. She called and found a cancellation for 11am. I wish that I had told this to Dr. Blackburn. Isn't the front person the face of a practice? Just discouraged and disheartened and I have been a loyal patient of Dr. Blackburn. Just being treated with respect goes a long way.

The staff is one of the worst I can remember encountering in my 50+ years. They can't even pretend to care or suggest anything when you're begging them for help. At the end of the day, I can't believe the doctors don't know how bad they are. Dr Blackburn and her partners need to step up and do something about this. I've mostly appreciated her care. Like another poster said, what good is a doctor you can't see when you need them--especially in an emergency.

We love Dr. Blackburn, but with great sadness we are seeking out another doctor because we can no longer deal with the office staff. The staff is rude bordering on ridiculous and it is next to impossible to get an appointment even when sick. We are a normal family with very basic medical needs--it seems reasonable to be able to get in to see a doctor for a physical once a year and maybe one sick visit a year, but every time we call we have to schedule way out and have even been told that getting an appointment is impossible at this time. What? The doctor won't see us or call us??? This is the third time we have ended up going to KROGER for a simple medical need (basic physical, pink eye, poison ivy) because we couldn't get in to see the doctors at this practice. Again, I have always loved Dr. Blackburn when I get to see her (and I have seen her for over 15 years) but a doctor that we can't contact is useless.

Very disappointed with overall care. The person the usually schedules appointments does a very poor job at dealing with people.
