Dr. Lashley has been an amazing MD for our son. He is professional and knowledgeable, stoic in his demeanor...but when you see him interact with babies/kids your heart melts! You can tell that he loves what he does and truly cares for his patients. He has always been super thorough in his explanation to us as parents, and eager to explore the least invasive method of treatment for our son's situation first. He has put himself in the shoes of parents when making decisions regarding our son's treatment, recognizing our concern and desire to have the least invasive option possible or to have him on medication as little as possible (while keeping our son's best interests in mind). I have never experienced anything but caring and professionalism from Dr. Lashley and would wholeheartedly recommend him!

Wow as I read the posts before me I see our family had quite the opposite experience from the majority who choose to use ratemds. I feel obligated to share even just for contrast sake. The most unsettling thing for me was both my husband and I found him very unprofessional handling our sons care. He made light of the situation and said some jokes handling our sons genitals that were a bit rude and offensive. He completely disregarded our interest in alternative medicine when we asked and was very pushy about scheduling surgery for something that was clearly not an emergency. We felt immense pressure to do the surgery and little consideration for our apprehensive feelings. At one point I recall him saying if we didn't do surgery we were bad parents. I was hounded by him and his staff constantly leaving me voicemails pressuring us to schedule surgery. It got to the point I was in tears and my husband was so furious he wanted to call the doc and give him a piece of his mind. No one should feel pressured into surgery, nor should they be hounded by staff when they have expressed their wish to wait and get a second opinion. I will never go back in his office again after the kind of bullying disregard he showed my family. He may have won lots of awards and receives many referrals but that does nothing to make up for harassment and poor bedside manner.

Dr. Lashley performed surgery on my daughter in 2008; while that was 6 years ago, he remains at the forefront of excellence and is the benchmark against whom I evaluate other physicians and sugeons. My daughter has a horeshoe kidney and duplicated urethras on both sides. The right portion of her kidney was near-failing; her condition was sympotatic yet undiagnosed until she was 9 years old, at which time we were referred to Dr. Lashely. I was imediately impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, attention to detail, ability to explain the condition and his recommendation for surgery in terms that both my daughter and I could understand. He included my daughter - his patient - in the converstaions rather than speaking only to myself as her parent. At every step of the pre and post-surgery process he maintained the highest degree of patient/family confidentiality, concern for my daughter's health and recovery including her emotional wellbeing while in the hospital. He explained that his goal was to repair the urethras and allow the kidney to function properly/filter out the all the crud that had built-up over the years and avoid removing that portion of the kidney. At her one-year post-op ultrasound and follow-up appointment we were pleased to learn the kidney was clear and functioning properly. To this day my daughter continues to thrive. Through chance I've met two other families over the year whoes kids have been treated by Dr. Lashley and both families report similar words of praise relative their own positive experiences. His office staff display the same level of courtesy and professionalism. We had a great experience all-around and I highly recommend Dr. Lashely as a Pediatric Urologist.

I work in the worker comp field, so I know the industry rather well. Our 2 year old son had an inguinal hernia he surgically repaired. When we went into surgery, he came out himself to ask how we were doing and to introduce his ENTIRE team in the prep room. While we were in the waiting room, surgeons were coming in and talking to parents about their childs' situation and how they did. My wife and I found this very unprofessional and when Dr. Lashley came in and had us go to the conference room with him, we got a little nervous. As he was closing the door, he said "No one else needs to know what's going on with your family." We didn't ask for the privacy, he just conducts himself this way. Fantastic and respectable. Our son had no issues with the surgery, and although it is a fairly simple procedure, he was very helpful with everything. Again, that one small instant made a great impression on my wife and I.

Dr. Lashley was awesome. My son had a polycystic kidney that was found in utero. He took care of my son after he was born. He was very comforting and great. Very reassuring to have a great doctor and a nerve racking time.

Dr. Lashley performed two surgeries on my infant daughter Olivia, who unfortunately passed away due to unrelated infections. Of the many doctors that were necessary for her care, Dr. Lashley was the most compassionate in his manner, and he felt evry bit the apprehension that my wife and I felt prior to going into Olivia's surgeries. Dr. Lashley cared deeply, and if your child has a life-threatening issue pertaining to urological matters, then you couldn't ask for better.
