Dr.TJ was the first doctor to accurately diagnose my knee problems. I went through a year of failed conservative treatments due to the nature of my condition, and I recently went through a corrective surgical procedure he preformed on my knee called a Fulkerson Osteotomy. My knees were knock kneed, and caused me a great deal of pain even at the age of 32 y/o being a physical active person having two toddlers and being a nurse it was greatly holding me back from my life. I'm still very early post op but everything has been great so far, the doctor called me himself to answer some questions I had, and my knee is now aligned with the rest of my leg and finally tracking well. Dr.Tjoumakaris is a compassionate doctor and a gifted doctor. The best of both worlds. I am very blessed a friend suggested I go to the Rothman Instititure after years of being not treated a curated by other orthopedic doctors.

Dr. TJ was very personable in the office at showed excellent professional judgement during my surgery. My ACL was suspect along with my tibial plateau fracture, but while I was 'on the table' he manually assessed my ACL and wisely chose to focus on the fracture repair, leaving the inner knee integral. When the follow-up MRI showed my ACL to be intact, his decision to show restraint and limit the scope of intervention proved to have been the best possible choice and I am 'walking proof' of his skill.
